Criminy, "cool sheets" got MY attention! I live in central Texas.

Bless your feet doll....been there!

July is not supposed to have weather that is hot and wet enough to steam a lobster. :grump icon: Save some for August!

I'm so inclined to agree with this. I have sheets of heaven that are almost always cool - even on a hot day. There is nothing like climbing between cold sheets and sighing with relief.

And this hot spell can fuck off. Seriously. I'm in the mid-west where we seem to have this cloud of so hot that I melt if I walk outside. Yuck. Please go.

This is a refreshing change from most of the threads on the GB.

Just reading the title made me feel good.

I'll take it even further. After baking in this heat wave all day, taking a long cool shower and lying on those heavenly cool sheets with the fan and the ac going over you

pictures or it did not happen

Good try, but I can assure you it has happened frequently this summer. Some people even put their sheets briefly in the freezer shortly before bed. Now if there were an equally cooled off guy beside me....but that's just fodder for fantasies

It was minus 5C the other day.
Right now, it is minus 2.

You should be aware that december might come in here to argue that it couldn't possibly be that cold (even though I am closer to the Antarctic than I am to Sydney).
KRC will be right there alongside to make sure you know I am poor white trash as well.

Pics would have been good if I hadn't have passed out while watching a beautiful special on PBS.

Merry summer... and I work the closing shift tonight which means 2:30-11pm and then I open tomorrow at 7am. More flopping in the near future I'm sure.

Ever grateful, for the AC that wrings the excess water out of the air. A cool, smooth, dry sanctuary is the place for sweet dreams.

Many people pass out whilst viewing those "beautiful specials".

Well yeah... kind of like watching golf or a planetarium show. Now I need to find out when its airing again or watch online.

And I deal with enough A/C at work. My nose is SO dried out that I have to put moisture into it. No super hot here and hour north of SF but still summery. :cattail:

The idea of cool sheets sounds great. We have been in a very hot week here in the Great Corn Desert. Temps at or very near 100 F for days. Just came in from the shop and had to take a cold shower before I could even sit down. As for work, I feel for ya Piccia- I'm on day 5 of 7 today. Good news, according to the weather peeps, it will cool off just in time for me to be at home working.

Chin up and chest out sweet gypsy, you have company.

I admit that I do enjoy many PBS specials, most especially "American Masters". I like programs that most would find boring.

Intense heat and humidity leaves an impression of wading through a mud bath. Reprieves: lakes, rivers and indoors.

Cool sheets?

Geh, divine.

We are discussing public broadcasting. Please don't go off-topic.

I've dreamed of sacred geometry since I was a child and learned years later what I was vividly connected to.

Quilts are another love... on cool sheets.

I've never dreamed of sacred geometry, but the Golden Ratio has haunted my nightmares for centuries.

My 12 y/o was just learning about the math involved with finding the area of a sphere and cube, as well as other shapes. I didn't watch with her since it was an assignment while I was at work but I was able to talk to her about it over pie after dinner. She seemed surprised that I knew about that stuff. But yeah... I'm educated.

Anyone who wants to learn all kinds of things should go here. http://www.khanacademy.org/ If you scroll down the homepage their's gobs of learning vids that are pretty entertaining.
