I've never had a "real" flogging so I'm not much help. I would say make sure you trust the person who does the flogging. You do have a safe word?

We have a silly looking mini flogger thing. What I love about it is that you can enjoy it being used slowly on you, the sensation of that is great. It can also hurt in a good way and that is nice when and where you are not expecting it!

(Wrist action is what makes it hurt so good.)

I want a real one though. Someday I'll get it.

Fished off my Favorite Links list. It would be a lot of typing to expect someone to cover all the aspects of flogging in a post here. I'd also read up on it in the BDSM Library and a search among old threads might help too.

I don't know if this aplies to every one, but I did notice that I enjoyed it a lot more when I didn't tence up. Which is really hard to do I know, but I would sujest try to stay relaxed, know your limits but don't be afraid to push them a bit either. The last session I had my friend told be before we started that I would be done only when he said. At first that scared me a bit but I trust him. Thank you captains wench. I'm considering using a blindfold and maybe headphones . Say,.... Pachabels Canon in D Minor, or Tangerine Dreams Rubycon CD. And have the player set to auto repeat.

If you are getting flogged, make sure that your ready for it. As long as there is a steady rythem and it builds up, then it should be alright. We start off with some light floggers and even start as light as using one I made from a "shammy" cloth (yes, the ones you dry your car off with). Then we progress through our floggers (elk, moose, etc) and vary between "thuddy" and "stingy". And for you being on the receiving end, make sure that you communucate. If you wany harder, let them know. If you want lighter, let them know.

As for music, I tend to use tribal type of music or other music with a semi-steady drum beat. One CD that we use on a regular basis is called "Ibuki" by "Kodo". Of course there is one track that I took out and added a few other tracks in its place. If you like that type of music, look for a song called "Monochrome" by the same group.

Ah, this came up for me elsewhere on the boards. I don't consider a blood relationship a requirement for incest...I feel that a familial relationship is quite enough! I can't imagine doing anything with my partner's sibling, and likewise doing something with my sibling's partner would also seem like incest. Especially if your brother is going to be there!

If she's worked with virgins, she should be able to walk you through it. She should be able to tell you when you're tensing and notice when you start to sway if you are standing. I also use a warming up flogger. One made of soft braided drapery cording. Warming the skin first is nice. Rhythm, temperature and a lot of factors come into play. Hyrdation, aftercare, also important.
