okay...

building a new toy, and wouldn't have this question at all, had I not run across a beautiful piece of deerskin.

I prefer the "smooth out" wrapped flogger, primarily for aesthetic reasons: I think it looks better, responds better, and is easier to maintain and care for. however, this particular hide has a particularly opulent rough or sueded side to it, and I am tempted to experiment. I have heard pros and cons bandied about for suede floggers, but my experience on the receiving end of such things is pretty limited.

the suede ones I have used in the past did not impress me in the using of them... but how do you out there who regularly find yourselves on the recieving end feel about suede floggers?

particularly deerskin suede, if possible.

love it? hate it? can't tell? don't care?

why?

Deerskin

What kind of feel are you going for?

From a receiver's point of view, deerskin is a "warm up" toy for me - very soft, no sting. Feels yum on breasts and other more delicate areas. :)

As an aside - my personal favorite leather is moose. Has a wonderful thud - it's heavier than deer, much thicker. And there's something about the smell that makes me shiver.

The main gripe about suede is keeping it clean without destroying the suede(ness).

deerskin IS a great warm up material, but can also pack quite a punch if the tips are angle cut and the hide is heavy enough. and I know moose is the best stuff in the world... still saving for that purchase.

I just haven't even seen any suede-out deerskin floggers anywhere, and was wondering if there was a good reason for that. or perhaps that no one has gotten around to it yet.

thanks for the feedback. keep her rolling, please
