If I had a dollar for all the non-black passengers who did this and nonone ever said a word....I'd be a wealthy person.

Passengers intervened and they removed the crew for another less "******" crew.

Way to go!

Obviously securing all loose objects at takeoff includes shoes. Beyond that, the question that need to be asked is; how did the flight attendant approach the situation?? If the attendant was courteous and the passengers became belligerent, then the passengers were in the wrong. If the attendant was rude and belligerent, then the attendant was in the wrong.
