((Note: [OOC thread] Anyone can join really, just PM me.))
It had been five years. Five years that seemed like eons to some, and only fleeting to others. Five years since since one of Man's greatest fears became a reality. Half a decade since what were once the creations of His own hands had finally turned against him in an all-out war that had once been the stuff of fantasy and fiction. Countless lives were lost on both sides. Or rather, lives were lost on only one side. The other.... No Human thought any lives were taken, since they had no life in them to be taken in the first place. But still, they still feel the sacrifice of their metallic soldiers was much more than build-up of spare parts and metal. Since then things have calmed down for the most part. A treaty has been signed and both sides now live in relative peace. As with any treaty between completely different cultures, their are still countless individuals who cannot hold back their hostilities and try to stir up problems.
But hopefully the Steel Talons and the HCM would be able to stay out of this day's events; hopefully being the keyword. Most people could guarantee that the HCM would jump on this opportunity. When else would those people have a shot (Literally) at getting the leader of the entire Metallobion race? Unless they wanted to risk it on Mars, they would have to wait until he was not surrounded by guard units again. As for the Steel Talons, they were a question mark as they usually were to Humans. A few people had heard a rumor about them getting a member into office in the upper echelons of the Metallobion government, and that he was in place at getting a chance at becoming the leader should the present one have an "unfortunate" accident. Though that kind of scheme either seemed too complicated or too drawn out for the likes of Steel Talon. Even if they did plan on assassinating the Metallobion leader, he was not too worried about it.
Trey guessed the guy would probably have to appear without so much security in order to seem less imposing or at least break the image of what most Humans thought the Metallobions were like. The effect was achieved well, for the most part, as Trey sat on a grassy hill in the park overlooking the outdoor ampitheater. Here the leader of a race that the Humans had created and fought was going to make a speech of some kind on this fifth anniversary of the end of the war. There he was on the open and empty stage, alone, save for a few other 'bots that looked like his council or something. Trey had heard a lot about this guy, he was much less beligerent than his predecessor and more diplomatic. In fact, he kind of reminded Trey of this one robot he had seen in a vintage cartoon about cars that came to life as robots or something. He could not remember the title exactly, but he did know it aired sometime during the 20th century. His mental tangent was cut short when the seats started to fill with both Humans and Metallobions.
"I wonder how this peace speech will go down."
Trey stood up and wiped off his pants, stretched his arms out, and started heading down to the ampitheater seats.
"Hope they cleaned off the seats this time around..."
