Fleetwood Mac Co-Founder Peter Green Dies

Saw an interview with John McVie where he said they were in Germany and Green took LSD and he never came back from that, fucked him up big time and he dropped out of the band and pretty much society.

Poor bloke.

A real talent for a short while. To the good great fortune of Fleetwood Mac, Lindsey Buckingham came along a bit later and helped them become a brilliant band.

Stevie Nicks might have helped a little as well. SMH.

On topic. it's really sad to hear about Peter Green's passing. Rest In Peace.

Buckingham brought her, refusing to join the band unless she was part of the deal.

Fleetwood Mac is essentially 2 different bands. I believe that like a lot of British Bands of the time they started out as a blues band.

Green-era Fleetwood Mac is probably responsible for more "I bet you don't know who did the original version?" songs than any other band in history. The metal guys in my high school couldn't believe that (speaking of LSD) Green Manalishi had been done by "those fags in Fleetwood Mac" before Judas Priest.

He was a big influence on Carlos Santana. Peter wrote Black Magic Woman, which was one of Santana’s big hits.

Seriously? THAT'S the response you come back with??

I figured it was just a "small" oversight on your part in your first comment, but now I see that you believe Stevie was just Lindsey's luggage. That was MY mistake.

More importantly, RIP Peter Green

Fuck you are touchy. What he said is true, but nobody doubts Stevie Nicks is the biggest talent and draw for the band. I'm sure Nadre doesn't either?

You like arguing for arguments sake.

People refer to "Peter Green-era" Fleetwood Mac often enough that I committed to eventually learning more of what it's all about. And now this. The legacy survives at least. I wonder if their masters were lost in that fire from 12 years ago too?

RIP Peter Green.. I quite literally hardly knew ye, but that changes soon.

He has a bug up his ass for some reason. If he gave my statement any thought he might have figured out that I was crediting Buckingham for bringing Stevie to the band. As it turned out the band had no idea what a favor Lindsey did them.

Not touchy at all. My first response was just a little jab at "Nadre" for omitting Stevie from the equation.

My second response was a bit more acerbic because "Nadre" simply couldn't acknowledge the faux pas, and doubled down on the slight by bringing up the fact that Lindsey had to co-sign/vouch for Stevie.

Moving on now.

RIP Peter Green
