Anyone out there have one?
They worth the cost?
19" to 21" bigger can be better..

:D

I use a VAIO laptop, so it has a flat monitor. I love it. Definately prefer the portability over a tower system.

Saved up to by a 17" monitor with my new Dell 5 months ago. It's as big as I'll ever need. Fantastically small footprint--great space saver. I'll never go back to a tube monitor again.

Thank you for the comments so far.

I have 17" standard now, would like to upsize, so flat seems the way to go for space savings.
:)

I have a Flat Screen, 17 inch...would NEVER go back to a monitor....it's such a space saver too...and the picture is so crisp....and you can ...well...nuff said.

I advise anyone to buy one...for those on AOL, buy one through the installement plan..so much easier

Ummm...

My panel is not flat! I have a nice ass!

:D

Thanks for that option, LoL.

Flat ass?

Oh..I just love a flat tight ass....it conjours up so many visuals..the tightness of the skin, the inviting tightness, the inviting of the hand, the crop...ohhhhh...I love a nice flat ass:kiss:

I have a laptop. If I went with a tower flat panel is the way to go. Much better for your eyes. I personly sell computer stuff and I like the Viewsonic. So do my customers.
Take Care,

I miss my 21" CRT from work, but I would like something about the same size or larger in a flat panel. I used one when I was visiting my brother; he has a flat panel and DSL at home, and it was cool to just walk into the study wiggle the mouse, and have the flat panel instantly come on and to have instant high speed access to the net. It was a 15" though, and had lower resolution that my 17" Sony CRT, and just slightly smaller size, so I prefer the greater screen real estate. I did like how light it was and that fact that it took much less desk space than a CRT.

In the smaller sizes, they are probably worth the slight extra cost, but as you get upwards in size then the price differential increases quite a bit. It just depends on how badly you want one. I think most of them still have a slight performance penalty with regards to ultimate resolution, and with speed (only noticeable if you play games of watch DVDs) - the pixels do not update as fast as a CRT and you get "smearing".

Some of the highest performance (and most expensive) ones rival or surpass CRTs. Again, just depends on your budget and how much you want one.

I recently bought a 19" REALsynch Flat Screen monitor. I had the money, but just couldn't bring myself to pay triple what my monitor cost just to save a few square inches of desk space with a flat panel model. (A flat panel would have cost more than my whole home-built system did!)

19" flat panel monitors are expensive, but fairly reasonable. 20" and up are priced nearly 50% more than the same manufacturer's 19" models! I can't see paying that much more for one or two inches of screen size.

Thanks for the input. A 19" flat display Sony seems to be catching my attention!

:)
