I love rediscovering something that I had forgotten about.

A few days ago I caught the last 10 seconds on Robert Palmer's Simply Irresistible on the radio and couldn't get it out of my head. So yesterday I pulled it off iTunes, cranked up the stereo and annoyed the neighbors while dancing aound the house with my daughter.

"She's so fine, there's no tellin' where the money went..." :cathappy:

Cool Change by the little river band, about a week ago :)

Love that song.

I actually bought a compilation CD with about 20 songs on it just to get that song. (Try finding the Little River Band at your local retailer, (this was a few years before Amazon))

Do Ya Wanna Hold Me - Bow Wow Wow

Believe it or not, heard it playing in Appleby's. Had to come home and DL it. ;)

Sad they were so unknown, they had one of the most amazing combinations I ever heard.

Am I showing my age by saying I have no idea what the hell you two are talking about?

A little before your time I believe CD.

I've been having songs by The Crash Test Dummies running through my head all day.

Don't download. I have no money for such things. And since I have no virus checker, downloading free stuff is not a good idea.

Ummm... yeah. :D

They had a couple hits in the early 80s. The band was actually formed by Malcolm McLaren, who managed The Sex Pistols and Adam and the Ants. When Adam got a big head and decided to leave the band behind, Malcolm went in search of a new gimmicky front for the band and found Annabelle Lwen,14 yrs old, bebopping and singing to headphones in a dry cleaners shop. He got them into the studio playing songs with a stomp beat and everything clicked.

PM me an e-mail addy and I'll gladly send you some of their stuff. But I warn you, it's fast and furious music to say the least. The basist ALWAYS sounds like he's playing a lead solo and the drummer is pounding away like nothing you ever heard. When Annabelle sings you just can't help feeling all is right with the world. :)

If you're talking about The Andrews Sisters' version, I'm gonna smack you on the but and call you a liar. :)
