If a movie ever screamed out for a reboot its Flash Gordon.
Seems like itd be easy to keep the campiness and fun of the original while updating the effects and story. Easy cuz I'm not doing it of course. Everything is easy when I don't have to do it.
You'd have to keep the soundtrack tho. That's just common sense.

Ah dunno...see, the organic unforced campiness of it is what makes it good. I saw that in the theaters as a kid and I didn't understand what camp was about it until I got older.

Sure, the effects would be sweet, but there'd be something lacking. The soul of just being basic and "good terrible."

The soundtrack is half of what saves it and even if tacked onto an updated version, it still wouldn't bang as much as the original.

Logan's Run is a better camp remake into gritty and I think that's even in remake development hell. But Flash...I sez leave it and just play it for your kids and grandkids to appreciate.
