They hijacked Santa's sleigh and rammed it full speed into the main Clause home - killing Mrs. Clause and 5 helpers. It is presumed that at least one Tellitubby died in the crash as well. The names of Santa's helpers are being withheld pending notification of family.
Santa has thus far excaped injury and is holed up in a tunnel beneath the toy factory with a handful of armed elves. The tunnel was originally designed by his good friend Willy Wonka. Who recently had been kidnapped and released by two masked Tellitubbies. It is speculated that Willy may have given a map of the North Pole tunnel system to them.
In a side note - Gumby is currently winging his way to the North Pole to help negotiate a truce.
