Flaccidity!!!

Yes

It is possible to write erotica without using any offensive words. In fact it is not only possible, it is desirable because the reader supplies the words or action themselves and therefore chooses images that are most likely to arouse the reader.

I tried it with "Bagged at the Opera" - it seemed to work but others have done it much better.

I hope this helps.

You've never read any of the Clan Of The Cave Bear sequels, have you? It's about characters who lived in Europe during the Ice Age some twelve thousand years ago, so the author, Jean Auel, didn't exactly have words that could offend a 73-year-old nun. For one, those words hadn't been invented yet. (For another, nuns hadn't been invented yet.)

They're a pretty good read, even the parts without the sex. Just be careful of the first book, all you have in there is rape scenes. o_O

It's an interesting exercise, that's for sure. I'd probably stick with feelings, thoughts and emotions, (and maybe dialogue) rather than try to describe actions - The description of the action is normally where you have most of your 'offending' words anyway.

A hot paragraph about sex which doesn't use any taboo
words?
How about a MOVEL about sex which doesn't use any taboo
words?
*Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure* (better known as *Fanny
Hill*) used none of the "dirty words" of its day. The
only word that hits the hot buttons today is "sex," and
that is used to mean male or female or -- most usually --
women collectively.
