Fixed or changing sexuality

Is our sexual orientation genetic, somewhat ruled by our upbringing and peer pressure or evolving over time and the opportunities which are presented?
Escaped from peer pressure, I definitely developed a floating orientation like say 55% hetero and 45%gay. That percentage can change depending with whom I am together at a specific time.

It would be great to get a wide range of opinions from our Lit community.
