Emerald, I always read your stories with great pleasure, and 'Paramour' is written with your usual super style - Lori is portrayed superbly - and the story has all the tension and conflict a reader could ask. In that I agree totally with Tarakin.

'cept, 'cept . . . I can't get into your antag. It is a frequent problem I have with Celeb stories. Sure, at just over 30, I have a thing about the pirate, but I know he is nudging 50, lives mainly in France, is devoted to his kids and still hangs out with his ex, Vanessa Paradis and they have a house in LA. He doesn't float off in disguise - believability is all.

If you had used a fictional star (someone who looked like a younger . . . ) it would have worked better for me.

There's nothing wrong with your writing, quite the reverse, you just don't flesh out the guy realistically. Why is he there and not with his kids?

As I've commented before, 'Celebs' always carry baggage. We sort of know them and changing their image doesn't sit well with our preconceptions.

That said, I love your stories but think the Johnny Depp piece falls a tad short because you assume we see the same image as you that is in Lori's eyes.

I hope I've been gentle enough - spank me if not. You's write great stories.

I'm gonna be honest- I will love Johnny Depp til he is old and wrinkley, and probably still want to do bad things to him, lol.
And I am gonna be honest again- have ya ever seen 'Crybaby'? That's the Johnny Depp I'm gonna marry, LOL.
The whole 'baggage' thing is exactly why I've never written a celeb story. I'll probably never write another one, but I had started it one day, and decided to finish it.

So it counts in the top lists. If you have under 10 votes, your story doesn't really 'count'. It just floats around in cyberspace, waiting for the balloons to drop from the ceiling.. sometimes stories cry themselves to sleep at night because it never happened....
Mostly just the votes lol, but feedback is always welcome.
