First time author

Hi all,

I have just posted up my first 3 stories. They went live yesterday and I have be stunned with the repsonce!!

Have had great feedback scores and some nice public comments, but am amazed at the supportive, exciting private emails I have been getting too! great to know that people seem to get as much pleasure out fo reading them asd I do writting them!!

Quick question though....is there any kind of etiquette behind replying to private feedback? It seems these people have taken the time to say such great things, (Really given me the confidance to carry on!!), I would love to say thanks...but don't really want to start corrosponding with people on a one to one bases just yet...similalry I don't want to offend...

I always reply back to feedback that provides an email, mostly I don't get a reply to that, but sometimes I do.

If you do reply, make sue it's an email that you don't mind a perfect stranger knowing, also keep your reply distanced if you don't want to encourage more emails.

I tend to go with a polite "thank you so much for your feedback, It really made my day" or something like that. Unless I know the person, then I'll probably be more personal.

I'd definitely reply to your private feedback (it encourages folks to send more) but it's up to you just exactly how you reply

Congrats on your first stories and the high scores. On feedback, I too usually answer all I can, thanking the writers and responding to their specific points. I like to think it makes them feel acknowledged. I will read your stories soon and see what I think.

I have responded to all feedback now, and hope that my sig now works!!

Am working on the enxt story at the moment, finally feel like I have a bit of confidannce in my own writting!!
