The E means it is an editors pick by the powers that be. Not many stories earn them, so you already have one very strong reason not to be nervous

It also means the story will probably be trolled to death. The trolls absolutely can't stand a story with an E.

i didn't get to earlier...but i wanted to thank everyone who read or commented or just posted in here.

i (crazily) waited until the story was submitted and being reviewed to ask a fellow litster to read over my first chapter. there were great suggestions...some of which i've taken up (not for Lit but for elsewhere) and i spent those few days waiting and scared shitless that something was going to be so wrong with my story it was just going to be rejected. now i understand the "high"....this is the first time i got brave enough to submit (haha) but i'm glad i did...keep an eye out for more chapters.
