First purchase at a adult-shop

Today I trudged through the rain and wind to get some things I had to buy. One of these items was in what would be called an 'Adult-shop', I'm just wondering what you people in the wide world think of these places and your thoughts the first time you bought anything (if u did).

here and there but never bought anything until this summer in Amsterdam. I bought a vibrating dildo. Now talk about that going through customs. I think one can feel embarassed but then you realize that others are in there for the same reason and the embarassment goes away. I did a thread on this some months ago and it was fun! So here is my tale:

After having driven there six times without getting out of the car, I finally decided to take the plunge. The "store" was located in a remodelled barn about ten miles from any village or four corners. Oftentimes, there are three or four pick up trucks there---Yikes!

Finally, went it and as I couldn't find a shopping cart! I carried an armful of purchases around the store until I lay them on the counter and nicely asked the owner to keep an eye on them.
