OOC: Just a fun little highschool thread, open to whoever wants in
Dante Blest
Age:18
Height: 6'1
Weight: 185lbs.
black hair, blue eyes

A new student to Flat Plains Highschool Dantes family moved to the midwest from New York because his dad got an amazing offer to be the head lawyer for a large farming combine. Unable to pass up the chance to make enough money to retire in less than ten years if he so chooses he dragged his family from the familiar settings of Brooklyn to the plains of Nebraska. Dante was pissed, determined to return to New York as soon as possible. Still though, the country air was nice and the people were friendly, if he had to spend a year here he may as well at least try to enjoy himself.

IC:
Dante swore, he was late for class, on the first day nonetheless. He wasn't used to the quiet out here in the country and had relied on his innerclock to wake him up, but the trip from New York and the exhaustion of unpacking had made him oversleep and now he was running through the school, desperately searching for his first classroom. "Should be right around this corner." He panted as he turned, moving so quickly he almost slid out on the floor. 105, there we go he thought as he grabbed the handle to the door throwing it open. "Sorry I'm late, I'm new here and got a bit lost." He said apologetically as he nearly fell through the doorway, taking in the scene of the classroom around him.

Maggie sat at her desk, staring out the window as Mrs Cooper took attendance for home room. Summer was over and while she was glad to be back at school with her friends, she longed to be outside. A midwesterner to the bone, so much her life was wrapped up in the outdoors. But still it was good to be back at school. This was the last year she and her friends would be together within these walls, who knew what lay ahead. Maggie knew most of them were scared but she was excited beyond all possible imagination. She couldnt wait to find out what adventures life had in store for her.

"Margaret Anderson"

Maggie's head snapped to the front of the classroom her straw blonde hair whipping about her. Ms Cooper sat patiently awaiting her reply.

"Present." she said on a smile her face.

At that very moment one of the most gorgeous guys she had ever laid eyes on burst through the door.

"Sorry I'm late, I'm new here and got a bit lost."

"That is quite alright young man." said Mrs Cooper in her usual crisp voice, taking the young man's class schedule from his hands. Maggie watched as the guy shifted his weight from one foot to the other and adjusted his backpack on his shoulder. Turning to the class she said, " Ok everyone, this is Dante Blest, seems like he'll be joining us this year." Indicating with a nod of her head, to the empty seat next to Maggie, Mrs Cooper said "You may take your seat next to Margaret."

Maggie sucked in a breath, her honey brown eyes going wide as the hunk of muscle called Dante walked down the aisle and took a seat next to her.

Dante felt like a moron. He hated having so much attention on him, especially during the first day. Getting places on time had never been his strong point though so it wasn't too surprising that he hadn't made it on time. Hell back in NY he barely every went to class at all. But he'd made a deal with his dad and if he could prove he was a good enough student pops might just front him the cash to go back to Brooklyn and attend art school. So here he was, late as always.

He left out a silent groan as the teacher pointed him to his seat. Assigned seating? Jesus this was going to be a long year. He wanted to just ignore the teachers instructions and take the open seat he saw in the rear of the class room, but he figured that wouldn't be the best way to start the year off. So with a heavy sigh he turned and headed back to his seat, raising his eyebrow slightly when he saw the girl sitting next to him. Damn, they knew how to grow a white girl out here he thought to himself as he sat down giving her his best smile. He looked around the room, noting that in this school he really was a minority. Hopefully this was one of the more progressive Midwestern towns he thought nervously as he reached into his backpack, trying to find the book he needed as the teacher, Mrs. Cooper told the class to open to the first chapter. History was never his strong point. Hell most scholastics weren't, but maybe if he just kept his head down he could float through.

Maggie felt her cheeks go red at the bright smile Dante flashed at her as he took his seat. Suddenly nervous, she fumbled with her text book as Mrs. Cooper directed them to review the first chapter. Throughout the course of the class Maggie couldnt help but to sneak a few sidelong glances at Dante. Damn this guy is cute, she thought to herself. His overall look was a welcome change to the wannabe's that Maggie went to school with, she could tell straight away Dante was an original.

Noticing he hadn't turned a page since 3 pages ago, Maggie leaned over to him and whispered, "We've moved past that, were on page nine. My name is Maggie by the way."

Dante was totally lost. This was the first day wasn't it? Why was the teacher sending them searching all over the textbook. Weren't these things designed to go in a sequence? He kept flipping around, trying to figure out where exactly it was the teacher was reading out of. Something about rich white people again. He smiled at that thought thinking about his old friend Ceaser he always insisted that all history was just the story of rich white people exploiting minorities. It made him think about Brooklyn again and he pushed those thoughts away as he tried to focus on the reading, finding himself lost again.

He’d noticed the girl next to him kept shooting him glances and he thought about snapping at her. Maybe asking her if she’d ever seen someone of color just to see how she’d react, but that wouldn’t be very nice of him. Instead he just watched her through his perphial vision, appreciating the way her body curved in all the right places. He blinked and turned to look at her as he felt her lean in and listened intently to her whispered words of advice. “Thanks,” He whispered back, smiling at her as she introduced herself. “I’m ahhh well I guess the teacher already told you.” He said with a sly wink as he offered his hand to her. “Nice to meet you Maggie.” He whispered.

“Thanks, I’m ahhh well I guess the teacher already told you.” Maggie gave a small grin at that. “Nice to meet you Maggie.”

Even though he whispered, Maggie could detect a distinct accent as he spoke. She couldnt quite place it she she made a mental note to ask him later.

Placing her palm in his Maggie said with a genuine smile, "Nice to meet you too, Dante." She kept her voice low, in an attempt to keep Mrs Cooper from noticing that they were talking during her lesson.

James cole
Age:18
Height: 6'2
Weight: 195lbs.
Hair: black with blue tips (spiked)
Eyes: green
Tattoos/peircings: lip ring, (ring in right side of lower lip) eye brow spike in left brow, 4 tatoos 3 visible, one says HATE on right hand, a tattoo that says R.I.P dimebag is visible on his right fore arm. and a pentagram is tattoed between his finger and thumb on his left hand

James walks into mrs coopers class 10 minutes late, he is dressed in a tight black beater showing off his perfect abs, (which were aquired by playing drums in his band) and a pair of black and blue TRIPP pants which had numerous chains hanging from them.

"WHY are you late to my class AGAIN James?" Mrs. cooper asked obviously irritated.

"ummmm, I couldn't find my keys?" he said making it sound as sarcastic as he could

" I will let you off one more time." Mrs cooper nagged, but James was already on his way to his seat, he sat down in his seat and tapped the new kid in front of him on the shoulder

"he whats up man? you new here?" he asked softly hoping that BITCH of a teacher didnt hear him

Despite their low voices Mrs. Cooper could clearly see the two students leaning out of their desks and whispering to each other. She cleared her throat loudly, staring annoyed at the two students. “Do you have something you’d like to share with the class?” She asked in an exasperated voice. Sure it was a clique, but by the way both students blushed and sat back up Mrs. Cooper knew it was an effective line nonetheless. “What was so important that it couldn’t wait till after class?” Mrs. Cooper asked, thinking that maybe she should go easy on the new kid, but deciding she needed to establish her dominance early on. “Ahhh I was ummm I was just asking Maggie here where we were in the book. I got a little confused is all and I wasn’t sure if I should raise my hand and I didn’t want to interrupt your lecture.” Dante said half honestly, not mentioning that he was also hoping to score some digits.

Instead he just buried his head back in his book, glancing up when he saw Mrs. Cooper had turned her back and went back to writing on the blackboard. He quietly tore a corner off the notebook paper he had and wrote a quick note, passing it across to her.

Locker 134
To be continued?

He smiled at her and went back to reading his textbook.

He blinked a moment later as the door came open again and a kid straight out of a Limp Bizkit music video walked in and began talking at the teacher. Ahhh the class rebel.. Dante thought with a smile as the guy walked back to sit behind him. He looked over his shoulder as the guy spoke to him. "Yeah, moved here a couple days ago." He said softly. "Teacher already reamed me though for talking though..." He said, turning back to make sure he wasn't about to be the subject of another tongue lashing.

James laughed, "yeah I hate that bitch, she seems to enjoy making peoples lives hell." he said in a whisper. "my name is james by the way" he added before opening his book to the page they were reading on.

he then looked at Maggie, catching her attention, he mouthed the words... " is he a cool dude?" and tossed his head toward the new dude smiling.

Not taking her eyes from where Mrs Cooper stood, Maggie held out her hand for the note Dante had written.

Locker 134
To be continued?

Maggies lips spread into a wide smile as she read the note. Turning to Dante she gave a quick nod of her head in answer, And for the second time found herself blushing at his smile.

James' voice had drawn her attention, and she turned to look at him just as he finished speaking to Dante. She read his lips as he mouthed "Is he a cool guy?"

Maggie could only give a shrug of her shouldes in reply.

James laughed, then took his pencils and began drumming really fast, yet lightly on the desk. He couldnt WAIT for this class to end.

He then observed the note in maggies hand, and laughed again, new guy has only been here a day and is already looking to score.....

Dante sighed as he stared at the clock. These classes sure seemed to drag on. He kept stealing glances at Maggie sitting next to him, smiling whenever his eyes caught hers. He just wanted this class to be over. He’d only have ten minutes before his math class, but hopefully that’d be long enough to set something up for later with Maggie. This new school wasn’t looking too bad after all, even if the place was still no Brooklyn.

Dante sighed as he looked once again at the clock, figuring by now class had to almost be over and was instead crushed to see that only seven minutes had passed since he last looked at the class. He struggled to pay attention to whatever it was Mrs. Cooper was saying, but quickly lost interest in the story of Nebraska’s most famous explorer… He waited till Mrs. Cooper turned back away from him again and reached down to his backpack, fishing around for his black book. He took it out from between the three cans of spray paint he had stashed in his bag and began sketching.

Graffiti had always been a talent of his back in NYC and he figured now that he was out in Nebraska maybe he’d get a chance to spread the word somewhere new. He had smiled widely when he found out a freight railway ran through the small town, figuring he’d have the chance to at least throw up some good end to ends that would be seen across the country. He smiled as ideas flooded his brain, lowering his head as he began to sketch.

Finally what seemed an eternity later the bell rang and Dante jumped out of his seat, throwing his books back into his bag, throwing a knowing smile towards Maggie as he headed out of the classroom and to his locker, which he hadn’t had time to check out earlier in the day.

She fought her hardest to keep her eys front and pay attention to Mrs Coopers lesson, but Maggie could feel Dante's eyes on her. It seemed like a millenia had passed before the bell finally rang signalling the end of first period.

Rising from her seat, Maggie gathered her books quickly and made her way to the door. She had almost gotten out when Mrs Cooper called to her.

"Margaret..." Maggie froze in her tracks and winced visibly. She hated being called by her full name, it just sounded so old-fashioned.

Pasting a smile on her face she turned to face her teacher. "Mrs Cooper, I apologizre for talking during class, its just..."

That was all she could manage to get out before Mrs Cooper stopped her words by raising her hand.

"It's quite alright Margaret, rude though it may have been I understand why you did it."

Maggie smiled, as much as Mrs Cooper tried to be a hard ass she knew the woman had a soft side. It also didnt hurt that Maggie was one of her favorite students.

"I kept you back only to suggest that you show Mr Bleast around the school today. Seeing that he captured so much of your attention during class.

Maggie hesitated, had she been that obvious? She shook her head and dismissed the thought.

"Sure thing Mrs Cooper" she said before walking out of the classroom. As she made her way down the halls to Dante's locker, she laughed softly to herself. Did Mrs Cooper really expect her to say no to showing the new kid around? Maggie could think of nothing better than spending her day with the hot ebony cutie.

Locker 134, she thought as she remembered Dante's earlier note. She realized that coincidentally, his locker was just down the hall from her own. As she turned the corner, Dante was already waiting at his locker.

Shifitng her books to one hand, she smoothed her red plaid mini skirt against her thighs. Tossing her hair back, she walked over to stand in front of him.

Smiling she said "Hey there."

The bell rang and james bolted to the restroom. he went inside and locked the door, taking out a perfectly rolled joint and a lighter. he then lit the Joint and took a hit, blowing it into the vent.He smoked the joint down to the roach and was just about to finish it when.......

WHAM WHAM WHAM......there was a knock on the door. " FUCK!!" he thought as he rushed to flush the roach.

"come out, we know what you are doing in there" came the principals voice....

james sprayed himself with his axe and opened the door.

"hey mr. taylor....whats up?" he said smiling

"we know what you were doing, come with me." he said sternly

Thats when he bolted...........

Dante had considered waiting for Maggie outside the classroom, but the fact that he still had to double check his combination and Mrs. Cooper’s call to her convinced him to just go ahead and head to his locker. She had the number in any case, he’d see her if he saw her and if not, well it was just his first day here. He just hoped that he hadn’t gotten her into any trouble. She was just being friendly after all, hopefully the teacher wouldn’t be too hard on her.

Dante smiled slightly at the looks he got as he walked up the halls towards his locker, chuckling silently every time someone stopped to ask him if he was new and if he needed any help finding anything. At least the people seemed helpful enough. He was half afraid he was going to find a school full of peckerwoods that were going to chase him out… or force him to join the basketball team. He laughed at that, blushing slightly when he realized he’d just laughed out loud for what seemed like no reason at all.

He finally found his locker and was sitting there putting in his combination when he heard the click of shoes on the floor in front of him. He smiled as he looked up, seeing Maggie standing before him. He glanced her up and down subtly nearly whistling out loud in appreciation at what he saw. It took him a moment to realize she’d said something though he finally shook his head as his memory caught up to him and his brain reminded him that it wasn’t too baller to sit gawk at the girl. “Hey, so ummm I’m really sorry if I got you into any trouble with the teacher back there…” He grinned at her as he leaned against his locker looking at her. He opened his mouth to say something else when a loud commotion made him turn his head in surprise. The metal kid from earlier was dashing down the hall a faculty member in close pursuit. Dante watched in surprise as they ran by turning to give Maggie a question look, “What was that all about?”

“Hey, so ummm I’m really sorry if I got you into any trouble with the teacher back there…”

"No you didnt, dont even think of it..." Maggie said, noting the way Dante's eyes travelled over her body "Besisdes Mrs Cooper isnt all that bad, shes a cupcake."

"Get back here!!" acame a loud voice.

Maggie turned to see James barreling down the hallway with Mr Taylor hot on his heels. Several students stopped to pay witness to the scene, others took no notice. A few even shouted words of encouragement.

"Keep going James, you know he cant catch you!!!" one of the footballers hollered.

"He didnt last time, thats for sure" said another.

“What was that all about?” Dante asked quizzically.

Maggie whirled focusing her honey brown gaze on Dante again.

"That..." she said laughter in her voice "was James. I believe you two have already met. That happens ever so often, he's always getting caught... ah"

Maggie lifted two fingers to her peach colored lips, pretending she was taking a hit on a joint.

"Some how he manages to never get caught... well at least not physically. That boy ould run for track if he wanted."

Maggie stopped herself short, realizing that she was babbling. It was happened whenever she got nervous. And with a guy as fine as Dante standing in front of her, it was no wonder she was nervous.

"Anyway, I didnt get to say it earlier but, welcome to Flat Plains High"

“Well I’m certainly glad I didn’t you into any trouble.” He said with a slight chuckle. He had no clue what she meant when she said her teacher was a cupcake. Must be some mid-western euphemism he didn’t recognize.

Dante chuckled as James went flying by him. He half considered sticking out his foot and tripping up the faculty member pursuing him. But he held back, figuring he’d at least wait till the second day of school before making any trouble. Instead he just watched the scene with amusement, noting how quickly James put distance between the pursuer and him. “Won’t he just get in trouble later though?” He said mostly to himself shrugging slightly.

He smiled as Maggie turned back towards him and explained why it was James was trying to set the record for the one hundred meter dash. Dante couldn’t help but notice there was something very enticing in the way she pursed her lips as she mimicked the smoking motion. Christ he was definitely allowing his hormones too much freedom if even something little like that was getting his heart racing. He told himself to rein them back in it being his first day and all.

He went back to trying to get his locker open, frowning when he felt it stick. He muttered a slight curse under his breath and gave the thing a quick kick, popping the door open. “Well thanks, you sure do make a good greeting committee.” He said with a grin as he began to unpack his bag, taking out the cans of spray paint after making sure none of the faculty was around and sticking them in his locker. He threw the rest of his books in there, grabbing his text book for the next class he had and retrieving his black sketch book as well. “So… I’m not sure where my next class is, any chance you could show me?” He asked hopefully.

Maggie watched as he pulled several cans of spray paint out of his back pack and placed them in his locker. Her brow furrowed slightly confused as to why anyone would need so much spray paint. She also noted he chose to keep the black sketch book he had been using during history with him.

“So… I’m not sure where my next class is, any chance you could show me?”

"Of course I can. What do you have next?"

Dante handed Maggie his schedule, taking it from his hands she looked over it quickly. His class roster was quite different from her own, but she noted with some satisfaction they had three classes together and the same lunch period.

"Oh cool, you've got math with Mr Erskine. That's over on the southern corridor, room 89. So follow me."

She started off down the hall making sure Dante was following. "I had him last year. He's alright, dont worry he's nothing like Mrs Cooper." At his confused look Maggie added, "He wont expect you to participate or give him your undivided attention. He hardly pays attention to anyone, he's content to have his own little math party at the board." She gave a light chuckle at the last.

Even though she was chattering on at a rate, Maggie still felt very nervous. It had been a long time since she had gotten a crush on a guy, so she was still unsure of how to act. She wanted to ask him about himself, about where he lived before he moved. But she figured it might be better to save her questions for later, when she was certain she could formulate a sentence without her heart skipping so many beats.

Dante noticed her curious look as he unloaded the cans of spray from his backpack but didn’t say anything more about it as he gathered up the rest of his stuff. He was pretty sure he could find room 89 on his own, but why risk it he thought to himself with a bit of a smile as Maggie started off down the hallway. His eyes were instantly riveted to the seductive unconscious sway in her hips, that plaid mini she was wearing making him think all sorts of inappropriate things. He flicked his eyes back upwards as she turned back and began speaking to him.

"I had him last year. He's alright, dont worry he's nothing like Mrs Cooper." At his confused look Maggie added, "He wont expect you to participate or give him your undivided attention. He hardly pays attention to anyone, he's content to have his own little math party at the board."

Dante smiled at that. He’d seen teachers like that before, the ones who were good enough in their field but knew nothing about teaching. They were the people who were just holding out for some better job to pop up in their lives, teaching to keep a steady paycheck coming. “So you had him last year, that means we’re not in the class together?” He asked, disappointment in his voice. “Ah well, hopefully I’ll be able to struggle my way through.” He made idle small talk the rest of the, in Dante’s opinion, much too short trip to the classroom. “Well… I guess here’s where I take my leave.” He said, feeling a little awkward “Ah… soo is there a chance I am going to see you again later or will I have to wander these hallways lost for the rest of the day?” He asked with a grin.

Mind if I tag along?

Name: Lisa Jones
age:18
height: 5'7
weight: 8 stone
looks: Long wavy brown hair, bright blue eyes, slim body with 34 CC cup, pierced belly button and nose.

Lisa headed for the school fields, she hated maths and there was no way she was sitting through another lesson of it.
Lisa was quite popular in school because she was friendly to everyone, from jocks to nerds, goths to rockers she talked to them all so she knew they'd make up some excuse for her, although she got along with people she disliked large groups of friends, instead she was a bit of a loner, and like to keep herself company, she kept about 2 close friends and that was all she needed.

She hurried through the corridor, her head down in case someone recognised her.

Her eyes flew open in shock as she banged straight into James cole, and she blushedas she stared into his piercing green eyes, she'd always had a bit of a thing for James, she'd gone to a few of the gigs he played at, een though she knew nothing about music, one thing she DID know was that James was hot.

She stuttered apologetically "oh god sorry! I should have been looking where I was going!"

James flew down the hall way with ease, this was beginning to be an every week thing.

Keep going James, you know he cant catch you!!!

He didnt last time, thats for sure

everyone knew he was pretty much the fastest kid in school, he hadn't been caught yet........

He sped up even more and lept the steps, sliding around the corner, making a break for his car....

he was looking behind him watching for that slow ass principal when....

WHAM.......

oh god sorry! I should have been looking where I was going!!

James smiled " OH! Hey lisa! don't apologize, your just giving that slow bastard a chance, I mean why wouldn't a beautiful girl slow me down eh?" he asked joking

He turned and glanced behind him. "skipping Second period as well huh?! Im getting The Hell outta here, wanna come?" he asked flashing a perfect smile.

OOC: Just wanted to say, this highschool is supposed to be in a small town in Nebraska, so the type of students are mostly country bred folk, I don't mind everyone playing an 'outsider' character, it just sort of seems a tad counter to the theme of the whole thing.

OOC: yeah but you see, a rocker dude doesnt do the whole prepie girl thing so i kinda needed a girl semi like me that I could hook up with if thats ok, i mean, would be boring otherwise

OOC: yeah I'm fine with it, just a bit of warning for anyone else who decides to join the thread, also I mentioned it because there wouldn't really be too many other rockers or goths at the school just in relation to She's profile.
