First Dates !

Ok.. A very lovely Someone suggested that I post my own thread.
Until last night I had no Idea what I would do.. But I had a 'first date' and.. well...

I've never really done that kind of thing before, at least not without a third party's encouragement. I met a woman online a few years ago. We lost touch for 3 or 4 years, but after moving back to my home town she contacted me online (last week).
So we talked about honesty and expectations, and decided to meet for coffee.

She showed up PLASTERED!! She wanted to come home with me, (normaly a very good idea) but when I explained that my roomate was a recovering alcoholic and not very tollerent or appreciative of drunks in his home she became abusive! Even denying that she'd been drinking !!! .. I put up with it and even tried to see where she was comming from until she said something about being 'pussy-wipped'... I said goodbye, and headed across the parking lot to the nearest bar ( She had already stated she didn't want to go there).

I'm not bitter in the least and actually found her somewhat amusing!! lol...
I guess the point of this thread is to find other 'First Date' nightmare/funny/blissful stories.
I'd like to see if It's worth doing again.

Jeez hon, that sounds like it was a nightmare, at least it would be to me. You must be such a great person to be able to laugh it off. I would have had the major shit's and gone home. Never to call for a second date.

What an amusing first date....I'm assuming it's also a last date?

I met someone online a couple of years ago and decided to meet him after talking for a few months. Soooo we meet at a bar & have some nice friendly conversation till I return from the restroom. I sit down & we continue to chat, well, after about 10 more minutes of talking he says "I have something to show you", well, I follow his eyes which happen to be looking down and low and behold he has his dick pulled out of his pants!!!! Ok...now I'm a bit paniced and totally speechless so I get up and go to the bathroom again. I was actually really freaked out as we never had any sexual conversation and had talked on the phone quite a few times and he seemed like a nice guy. I finally left the bathroom, went back to the bar said it was late and time to go and practically ran to my car.....I rode around for a good 1/2 hour I was so afraid to head for home thinking he might follow me....never heard from him again, thank god.

We were supposed to go out to eat and catch a movie,walk on the beach afterwards.He picked me up,and had to stop back at his house for something,his grandmother called right as we were to leave.Her air-conditioner was broken and she could not get a reapair man.It was the middle of summer and freakin' HOT!!!!!!
How could i say no to that?I spent most of that evening,sitting on the couch with his grandmother,and her showing me his baby pics,first grade drawings,acceptance letter to med school.etc.All I could think of all night was how wonderful of a person he was to sweat it out with his brother,fixing his grandmothers AC.

I met a woman in Washington some time ago. I had a couple of friends of mine here in St. Louis move to Olympia.


I would visit my friends a couple of times a year. They wanted to set me up with a women they knew . . . hoping we would hit it off and that I would move to Washington.


I only met here once and had to go back home. We had several phone conversations and wrote to each other quite a bit as well.

I made plans to visit her and set up some plans to get together. Our first date was taking her son to the zoo. We had a great time and her son turned out to be one of the smartest kids I had ever met .

When i was 16, i went on a date with a young man that worked for my dad. He was 7 years older than me, but my dad trusted him to take care of me. It was a party at his house for his younger sister. We had a great time, dancing...etc. I was supposed to be picked up and taken home by my brother, but he got stuck at work. So, i ended up spending the night. I had made myself at home in the spare room, when i remembered i had to ask him something. Completely uncouth teen that i was, knoked and just opened the door. There he was laying on his bed, dick in hand frozen and looking like a deer in the headlights. I was backing out of that door as quickly as i could, apologising all the way. Most embarressing date of my life.

It was easy to laugh off, becasue I went there with NO expectations! She has 3 kids (not that that would be a problem, but not ideal either). I wasn't very pleased with the insults but I took it from where it was comming..
And WOW !!.. what an experience for a 16 yr old .. was that your first encounter with guy going solo ? lol

Yes, that's very probably the last date.. but ya never know. If she contacts me in a sobor frame of mind and is a little more honest... ?? I dunno.

No, that wasn't my first encounter, i had 2 older brothers. They couldn't keep they're hands off they're dick's for 2 seconds when they were going through pubity.

No,actually we went on many many more dates.He took my virginity and I fell head over heels in love with him.He was a great boyfriend.
But,some things happened,we broke up.He is a doctor now and lives in New York.

A few years back I had a great first date.
I was stuck in a center city traffic jam at ruch hour on valentines day. It was so bad that I pulled over int a parking lot, got out and walked into a borders books just to kill some time until things got better. While I was there I spotted this beautiful sexy woman, so I started chatting with her. Eventually, things were going so good that I asked her if she would like to go to a show with me the following night (I had a subscription). We had dinner at a nearby restuarant. The waiter returned three times to tell me that what I had ordered was no longer available. I don't even know what I ended up with because I was having such a great time, it really did'nt matter. We had a really cozy time in the theater followed by some very hot kissing when I took her home. I was truly smitten. The following morning I sent flowers to her office.
The irony to this seemingly storybook romance is that she turned out to be most psychotic, split personality woman that I have ever met. Apparently, I had just caught her on one of her "good days" when I met her.

Thanks to all who have posted replies so far. There are some great tales here!!! And I'm glad to see those that leave possitive memories for some of you! (A.D. for instance)

Now, I have something to add/inquire about ..
I've been introduced to a woman that, by all accord has everything I could hope to expect from a potential partner at my age. (40)
She's 40 as well, no kids, employed, ownes her own home, seems emotionaly and phsycologicaly stable and is a genuinly nice person with a good sense of humour.
However... I didn't find her the least bit physicaly attractive! It's not that she's homely or ugly, just plain. And her lips are thin (embarassed by my own shallowness) but the thought of kissing her wasn't at all appealing.
I'm told though that her attraction to me is very high but I'm not comfortable with leading her on and possibly hurting her feelings.
I realise that we really haven't had the time to get to know one-another, and perhaps after some time an attraction could grow.
ALL feedback is desperately welcome !!

You won't know how you feel until you kiss her. Those thin lips that are attached to her mouth might do amazing things that you never imagined.

Definitely you have to have that spark with someone but you won't ever know until that first kiss.
