first date

how bout dinner and a movie... kinda traditional, but gives some time to get to know each other a little, and to spend some time together too

spring or fall afternoon, going for a walk down by the riverfront sculpture gardens, to end with a picknic on one of the hills.

(but that's just me)

One of my best first dates was a twist on the traditional dinner and movie date. The guy prepared dinner at his place, and took care of every detail, down to place cards at our seats, a printed menu detailing each course, and soft classical music playing the background. He had rented a movie we had talked about, and we spent the rest of the evening snuggling on the couch watching it. The memory of that evening still brings a smile to my face. :)

And you'll note that dinner at home and a rented movie is not nearly as expensive as dinner out and the movie theater. :)

just relax... and remember that she's nervous too.. try to be polite (open doors, offer to take the coat, etc).. the sunset idea is a good one... but i'd save it for a second date idea (but that's just me)..

sure

i will keep that in mind.i like to eat at home.im not much in to eating out to much.

oooooooh, HK, that could be a problem down the line bud. Eating out is a good thing, as long as it's done right. :D

Also, about having dinner at home, there's nothing wrong with it. If you need some tips on making a great first date meal, I'm sure there are plenty that will help you out with that too.

just remember to have the place cleaned up if you bring her to your place... and not just everything shoved into drawers and so on... but really cleaned up..

Congratulations BJ

But please remember that it is definately not cool () to get engaged on the first date!

And as for YOU, nasty......

I'm going to pretend I didn't see that- lol.

Dinner and the sun set sound perfect ..... but then I'm a sucker for a beautiful sunset. ;)

alrighty now...give the boy some good advice:) this ones gonna gonna be waxing his monkey for a long time if you don't help him out;)

Take a pumpkin and carve it together. I did that on a date once, and it was really just fun and sweet. It still ranks up there as one of my fave dates.

Whatever you do, have fun!

down here in texas i've had good results with candle light dinner
(don't forget a bottle of wine to go with it and proper soft music)
a drive down to a near by lake or go dancing, or to a walk-in show. relax and be yourself is the most important thing.
