Not in my house, but in the one across the street. I can see the charred roof from my living room window. Apparently, it's the top floor, probably one of the apartments, I don't think the house has an attic. There are police redirecting the traffic, one guess is that they don't want people near the place in case the fire takes a jump across the street to where the petrol station is located.
I had to drive a long way around to get home. I saw flames on the roof, but I think they've got things under control now.
There were 2 fire engine trucks and atleast two police cars. They're even using plastic ribbons to seal the place off, and that usually means business. ;)

A large crowd is standing outside, watching the firemen putting out the fire. I'm staying indoors; I've always thought it macabre to watch misery.

Besides, Simpsons start in 10 minutes.

Hehe. I just saw a telegram about it. When I noticed the town, I thought of posting here and asking if you could see the smoke.

I guess you can.

New update:

It WAS the attic. People were evacuated with fire ladders. One elderly woman was taken to the hospital, but not for any burn- or smoke injuries, so it was probably from the shock.

There are worse fires. Wallace, Gromit and Morph all burned yesterday.

That is sad. Their movie was #1 at the box office in the US this weekend, and now there is melting clay running down some street in London.

Svenska...Glad to hear you were watching the flames from (relatively) afar and it sounds like no one was seriously injured
