Fire Alarms

I'm sitting in class today taking an exam, and the fire alarm goes off. Rather than everyone getting up and evacuating the building, everyone just sits there and giggles thinking that it is just a prank. Even the professor said to stay there until he found out what is going wrong. Now I don't know about you, but when the fire alarm goes off (prank or not) I'm getting the hell outside.
We waited there until a police officer came into the class room and said to evacuate because there was a bomb threat in the building. Have we been desensitized from fire alarms, by people pulling them for a laugh, that it takes a police officer to have to tell us that the loud, whining fire alarm means "GET OUT NOW!"

i dunno bout that... we had a fire drill here last night.. a lot of the freshmen girls went running down the hall screaming because they fire alarm was going off..

anyways... i grabbed a pair of shoes.. or at least what i thought was a pair of shoes and started down the 7 flights of stairs to go outside.. it turned out that i had grabbed two different shoes for the same foot.. they look the same so i thought they were the pair

We need to start taking alarms kind of seriously for awhile folks. We are at war. And this one is going to take place all over the world, including the good ol' USA.

If I lived in a dorm. I would have a little bag set up. I don't want to call it a survival kit. But a bag with things you might need. Like money, or a phone card. Tooth brush, etc. I would know where my shoes are. At the least I would have a bathrobe handy. So ya don't have to run naked through the streets.

I don't want to scare anyone but a college campus would be a great target. Why do you think they blew up the Marine barracks in Beirut or the Air Force barracks in Saudi Arabia? Lots of sleeping people in one place.

Take this shit seriously until we see how it plays out. For your own sake, or if not, then for your loved ones.
