She had wandered long and far, walking for miles lost in her own thoughts and emotions. So much had happened to cause her to run away, even more had happened to cause her to want to return. She missed her friends terribly; wondered if they would even remember her. It hadn't been that long, but still, in this land of magic and make believe, where people come and go so quickly, alliances are made and broken in seconds, she still worried.

Her slow steps brought her to the edge of the tree line. A vast expanse of beach lay glittering in the heat before her. The sheer, simple sarong she wore tucked around her breasts clung to every curve in the humidity as the breeze pushed it closer to her body, ruffling the hem where it fell just below her ass. A wisp of material that may or may not pass for a thong visible through the slim excuse for a dress.

She glanced back through the trees, the cabin just barely visible from this distance through the thick vegetation. The rustic lines blended well with it's surroundings, making it nearly invisible except for the expanse of glass that covered one wall, catching a glint of the light creeping through the foliage. She smiled to herself, then turned back to survey her position.

The beach was on the eastern side of the island, stretching a good quarter mile into the distance before being swallowed up by the tress and underbrush again. The island was centered in the middle of a mountainous lake, much higher than most people generally cared to settle in this part of the world, simply for the lack of amenities. There were only two ways to get to the island, one of which was by boat. However, it was time consuming and difficult at the best of times...impossible at any other. The second, most expedient, method of getting there was by magic. Not just anyone could show up though, she had to wish for it.

"It's time," she thought to herself. "Time for me to start returning to my friends. Start socializing again." A shiver passed through her body in spite of the heat surrounding her. She was determined that things go a bit differently this time. She wouldn't be jumping into things quite so much. And when it got too hectic again, she could always come home.

She turned her back to the beach, the late evening sun shining through the fabric surrounding her, highlighting even more the figure hidden beneath. Her light steps barely disturbed the mat of grass and leaves that littered the little used path as she made her way back to the cabin. It was time to call it a night. Tomorrow she would return to civilization, such as it was.

I jump out of the helicopter that flew me here, and advise my assistant where to place my gift, I smile up at the house triumphantly. Fira has done well for herself and I love it. My gift is left on the beach for her own private use. My note I staple to the front door of her house, and I jump back into the copter and take off, giggling. I'll prolly be back.

Fira,
I am so happy to see you returned, this is beautiful, good luck and I hope you get use out of my gift! Kisses, Ausus

It's been a long journey, nothing next to the one undertaken by the woman who already dwels in her private retreat. It's been slow, almost painful excursion in the heat and the arduous nature of my trek have left me fatigued...almost three days on horseback, riding through the mountains. I break through the treeline and look out across the lake, the sweat on my body making me fidget as the sunlight strikes me again. I can see the cabin across the water and slowly dismount my horse. I strip off the sadle and leave him in the paddock slowly making my way down to the shore and the small boat there.

I undo my shirt letting the sun shine down on my back and shoulders, climbing into the canoe and paddling across the lake with smooth stokes, crossing the crystal waters as I slowly cross the lake and pull the canoe up to the dock, I rise from it and step onto the dock, my boots clicking on the planks before I make my way towards the house, smiling as a small gift remains in my hands.

"Fira?" I call out to my friend hopefully.

She stretches and yawns, waking hesitantly and slowly. Thinking that she had heard a familiar voice calling to her, Fira sits up and glances around the room, a feeling a little disoriented in the still unfamiliar surroundings. Grabbing quickly at the sarong as it begins to fall away from her body with her movements, she stood and tucked it more firmly in place once again as she headed towards the door. Hardly anyone knew she was back, and she wondered who it could be that had come calling.

The light streams in from the opposite direction as it had been when she had originally laid down, and she shakes her head that she could have slept all night without dreams disturbing her slumber. She opened the door and noticed the paper fluttering on it from the corner of her eye as she watched the man that approached. Reaching up and pulling the paper free without taking her eyes off the figure coming up the path, her face broke out into a smile as she finally recognized him.

"My Ghostrider!" she exclaimed happily, bounding down the steps and throwing herself at him, not paying any attention to what he carried. "I should have known you would find me!" she teased lightly as she kissed his cheek.

I look and see my friend running down the path and throwing herself into my arms. I smile and the yellow roses I carry fall to the deck as I hold her close to me, spinning slowly as she hugs me. It's been too long, far too long, and I'm glad to see her again.

"You're a hard woman to find!" I say happily hugging her close for a long moment before setting her back down on the dock, my hand still touching her arm as I smile at her.

"I brought you something...not much..." I bend low and lift the yellow roses for her.

Grinning a bit idiotically, she blushed furiously at the thought of him going through so much trouble to find her. "Well, it was kind of intentional, to tell the truth. Only those that truly have no ill will towards me are able to even get close, let alone find the island."

She smiled delightedly as he handed her the roses, putting them to her nose to inhale the heavenly scent. It was then she noticed the note still in her hand, and she glanced at it curiously before her eyes scanned the bottom to see who else had been by. Her face lit up even more when she realized who it was from, but puzzled over the gift that was mentioned. She hadn't seen anything when she stepped onto the wide porch...

Her eyes scanned across the path to the beach, the brilliant green in her eyes flashing when they landed on the little cabana set up on the sand.
"Oh my goodness! Look what Ausus brought!" Taking B's hand, she led him in that direction. "Why don't we go and relax on the lounge that she was so kind to leave for me? We can catch up on things there."

"Well, it's good to know I'm one of the select." I say softly, smiling as I present the roses. I know that she'd left, and was glad that she was back, at least in the small way she was now. I let her lead me down the beach, my boots sinking into the sand as I walk along beside her, glad I removed my shirt and only am wearing jeans. As she leads us down the beach I smile.

"Well, you certainly know how to pick the lovely spots around here." I say glancing back at the cabin. Then I turn to look at the cabana.

"Maybe we could get something to drink..." I murmer softly and wave my hand, the magic that I have making a small galvanized bucket appear beside the cabana, Vodka...Khalua...Milk...and Bailies Irish Cream. Two glasses show up as we appear and I grin a little.

"Drink?" I say, gesturing to the bucket.

Settling into the lounge, she closes her eyes for a brief moment. When they open again, the bottles are mixing themselves into the appropriate drink for each. She grins up at him as he takes a seat beside her. "I'm really enjoying the magic of this place. Makes life so much easier!" She watches as the glasses present themselves, and plucks her out of the air. Taking a sip and sighing in satisfaction. "Mmmm...perfect!"

She tucked a leg under her, getting a bit more comfortable so that she could look at him while they spoke. She had truly missed being with her friends, and was sincerely glad he had managed to find his way. She smiled at him, rather shyly considering he was one of her closest friends. "So how have you been?"

As we sit down on the lounge chair, I relax and take the cold drink from the air, milk and bailies, over crushed ice. Sweet and tastey, could only be better with ice cream. But I relax in the heat and sip it slowly next to Fira, looking out at the lake with a smile, glad my friend is back at last. I relax a little and look over at her.

"Well, I've been pretty good, the writing is suffering some lately, but I think I might be getting back into the swing of things, god willing soon enough." I smile a little and look back at the beack.

"What about that thread we were talking about? Still intrigued?" I say with a smile and a soft...purr.

She shivers a little at the slight growl she catches within the purr. Her eyes glaze over for a moment as she remembers the conversation about that thread, and feels her body trying to betray her eagerness at the idea. Clearing her throat and trying to sound as normal as possible, Fira manages to reply. "I know what you mean about writing suffering. I've been struggling with that over the last several weeks. Hopefully it's been settled finally." She took a sip of her drink before continuing, "As for the thread we discussed, I think it's going to be a fun one to work on, and I look forward to it."

I smile as I catch the shiver out of the corner of my eye. I don't comment, but sip my drink to hide the grin that grows on my features. I nod in agreement with my friend about the lack of willingness to write, and the difficulty of the muse.

"Yes...I've felt like rather a cop out for my co-writers lately, but sometimes, Real World responsibilites to friends and loved ones take precidence over fun. You can't step away from the people you care about when they need you." I smile a little sadly, but hold my head high. You did what you had to do, not always what you wanted to do. I glance over to Fira and nod slowly.

"Well, that thread will be fun...you know what a furry I am at heart." I smile and wink quickly, my eyes going blue for a moment before turning gray once more. I raise my arm and drape it over her shoulders and raise my glass.

"To the escape from sorrows and troubles that Lit should be." I say and hold my glass up in toast.

She chuckled softly at he mention of his furry heart and nodded in agreement. "That you are, hun," she replied softly, catching the quick flash of blue in his eyes before turning to look out across the gentle waves.

His arm around her shoulders gave her some measure of comfort, and she relaxed into him as they toasted their haunting grounds. A small sigh escaped her as she leaned against him, her eyes closing as she dozed off in the warmth of sun and friendship.

She woke alone. Her friend having left quietly while she slept. Stretching languidly in the still warm air, her thoughts drifted over the dreams that had flitted through her slumbering mind. Half memories, half fantasies, the lines blurred to the point it was hard to decide which was which.

Playmates, play-dates, a love that was forced into hibernation. Friends in pain, friends in need, deepest secrets revealed. Fantasy or Fiction? Fiction or Fantasy?

It was all so jumbled in her mind. She lay there for quite some time, staring out into the water that surrounded her little island, contemplating the meaning of all she had recently been through.

Her heart ached for things that could have been, and yet she pushed those thoughts aside, knowing that to dwell on them would make her bitter and angry. Instead she would rejoice in salvaging the friendship. Maybe one day...but those thoughts were also too much for her. She refused to get her hopes up.

Her eyes took in the sight of the island wildlife playing in the tangle of underbrush. Squirrels and chipmunks racing around trees and up into the branches. A soft smile touches her lips as she wished to be more carefree and happy as they seemed to be. She watched them playing for a long time. Finally, her mind set, her errant emotions locked away, she rose from the lounge gifted to her by her dear friend, the sheer sarong falling away as she ran lightly down to the waters edge, plunging into the cool depths that surrounded the island and rising to the surface, feeling as if she had been baptized a new person.

I appear in a swirl of my boudoir's magic in the sands, dressing in a negligee as I wander over to my sweet sister Fira and wade into the water, splashing her playfully.

Nice place sis but I can't be bothered trekking aye?!

I grin devilishly at her and wink

I do believe I was invited...

I give her a tight cuddle and spank her ass playfully, grinning

Hmmm...so girl's party event huh?

Her eyes open to the sound of someone slashing in the water, a huge smile on her lips as she realizes the wish worked. She squealed and splashed back.

"Of course you were invited!" she exclaimed. "Oh you naughty thing!" she cried playfully as Minx's hand landed on her wet backside. She wiggled it in her hand, a gleam lighting her eyes. "Ausus should be arriving soon as well. We'll have the whole weekend to ourselves!"

I jump out of my helocopter with a giant grin on my face and wave them off. My hair is whipped into a frenzy as I stroll over to my girls.

Ladies!!! How are you?! I kiss them both softly It's so great to finally be here! Fira you outdid yourself on this island, I love it!

I squeal excitedly as Ausus finally arrives and kisses me, I hug them both tightly

So hmmm...water, sand or something else my freaky darlings?!

I grin devilishly, wrapping an arm around each of their waists

She let's the kiss with Ausus linger for just a moment, a shy smile lighting her eyes. Blushing softly at the compliment on her new home, Fira hid her face behind her hair.

"Ya'll are my guests. Whatever you'd like to do. And Ausus...thank you for the cabana. I absolutely love it!"

I love the feel of Minx's hands on my waist and the taste of Fira's lips

Darlings! Let's get some daiquiris to go with this sun and sand! And then let's get some sun on these gorgeous bodies- eh?

Walking with the girls up the beach I swat both of their bottoms playfully

I yelp and grin at my Sinful Beauty as she spanks me

Oh hell yes drinks, sun, surf and gorgeous companions...what more could I ask for?!

...Wait well one thing...

I grin at my Fiery one

...Lead the way since I've never been here before?

Giggling at the playful swat from Ausus, and blushing from Minx's comment, Fira stoops down to scoop up her sarong from where it lay in the sand. Draping it over one arm as would a waiter in a fancy restaurant, she bowed as elegantly as she could to her two friend.

"Right this way, Ladies! Drinks are on the house!"

She led the way towards the cabana, a quick twirl of her fingers in the air causing a pitcher of daiquiris to appear on the low table, along with three glasses. She lifted the pitcher and began pouring, the mixture changing to the flavor each of them desired.

I grin at Fira as the drinks appear in the cabana. I pick up my strawberry daiquiri and sip at it, sitting down on the loungers and watching the girls with a smile as I pat the seats next to me.

Alright Ladies, it's just us.. no men for the weekend. Thank goodness!

I smile in excitement as Ausus states the no male ruling and I scoop my own strawberry daquiri off the table and make my way over, plonking down next to her

If there's no men then how come each one of us looks so damn fetching right now?!

I grin and lick my lips slowly before I take a small sip of my drink and jump in my seat a little bit, happy to be with my girls this evening!

Curling up on one side of Ausus, her banana-kiwi daiquiris in her hand, Fira smiled warmly as she sipped her icy drink. These two women had been an integral part of her life over the last couple of months, and she couldn't imagine sharing her place with anyone else. She raised her glass.

"To no men!"

Fira's toast makes me giggle and I raise my glass, the sound of tinkling glass, and the pounding shore nearby, very comforting. I slosh a little out of my glass and lick the liquid off my fingers, smiling wickedly at my girls... they are so dear, so wonderful, so naughty...

We look smashing my dear Minxy because we are darling, and here's to hot sticky nights filled with sweet soft sighs... think we are up to it?
