Finland and Sweden Approved by Senate for NATO

Yeah, if there was two countries NATO could grab as security providers to their immediate neighbors at least if not globally, there's few other options and none within the envelope of the alliance as defined.

Saying Sweden, even less Finland be burden as allies is only possible in extreme ignorance, but much rather bad faith.

It's a great thing when Democracies join together to fight against autocratic dictator-led countries. We should be choking them all from off from global economies.
Exactly right. The weaning off should be ongoing. But money is more important than human life to some people.

It means she will likely be a lame duck PM for quite a while yet. It's also worth a note that unlike her Social Democrats the party that won the election had NATO membership as their policy position for over twenty years already.

The yellow on the far right are... not quite MAGA, but a bit of open fascists alright, and unlikely would be in the ruling coalition. Although, anything's possible, but while I don't know, I very much doubt those guys are Russian loving people either. Worst case scenario for what I know, education financing could be slashed.
