Fingernails

I know their has been a long hair thread ... but how about fingernails. What do the guys think of long nails. Do you like the french manicures or prefer the fire engine red. I am curious if men really notice a woman's nails considering how much we spend on them.

I go through periods of keeping them painted

and then keeping them natural. I get a lot of compliments when I take the time to paint them, so I think most guys like it. I'm fortunate that my nails are very strong and I've never had to have fake nails put on.

Toenails now... I always keep them painted. Something really sexy about painted toenails and very well manicured feet.

I keep mine short and trimmed, and don't paint them.

I haven't bothered since a former lover told me, with complete sincerity, that the last thing he and most men noticed was a woman's fingernails. Also, Lancome discontinued the very best color I ever found, Raspberry Tart. The end.

I think this is one of those things that's entirely subjective, so I can't speak for anyone else.

I wonder if any of the men ... because of certain sexual acts would prefer to have them short to avoid being scratched or poked. I will let your minds fill in the blanks as to what specific acts that might be.

My honey doesn't care about the length. He hates the french manicure, he prefers bright red nail polish or a natural color.

He also likes me to file the tip of the nail from underneath to make the tips very sharp so I can scratch his back and leave whelp down his back during sex.

I like them long enough for a good scratching, not so long that there is a chance of breaking them. French manicures or painted are fine, just not the bright or wild colors.

And yes I notice them.

I take great pains to keep my nails long and beautiful, and always get an American manicure, which I think is so much softer looking than the stark white airbrushing of a French manicure.

But... I never, ever get compliments on my hands! I really think men don't notice them at all. We're probably better off spending our money on sexy little outfits or something. I think men just like their backs scratched and really couldn't care less what the nails look like.

I usually don't have my nails done. I let them grow out a little and then paint them myself. I agree with what TN_Vixen said about the toenails...mine are ALWAYS painted, especially during sandals weather.

I love, love, LOVE women with long nails. French manicure, painted bright red, natural, anything. When I'm scoping out an attractive woman I always take a close look at her hands. Always.

Of course I don't date women exclusively on their nails. But it definitely revs me up. A woman with long nails, who likes using her nails on me, can pretty much lead me around on a leash. Unfortunately I know this for a fact, because I dated a girl I couldn't STAND for about 10 months in large part because she had long, exquisitely manicured nails. And she knew about my little kink, and knew how to use them to drive me up the goddam wall. She also smoked occasionally, and I also have a thing for women who smoke, and when I see a hot woman with long nails who smokes it just about screws me into the ground.

Believe me, some men notice your nails, ladies. And some men really, really love 'em. Oh yeah.

My nails short becaue they're really thin just like my hair. Arg I hate my genetics sometimes. LOL

Still they're not so short you can't see them or anything they're about to the end of the fleshy part of my fingers. And my lover goes nuts when I run my nails down his back not hard enough to really hurt but enough to sting a little.

I keep mine fairly short & use clear polish. My sweetie likes them long enough so that I can scratch his back, but not so long that they hurt.

I typically don't go for black cigarettes or cigars, but I would certainly get thick in my pants to see you with your long nails holding your cigarette. Actually, I'm already halfway there...

That wacko girl I dated who had long nails, she would tickle my thigh with them when we were at a movie or a bar or something, and that was enough to get me climbing the walls. And when she did naughty things to me with her hands she just twisted me into knots. But then, you probably know some of her tricks...<g>
