Name: David Samuels
Age: 44
6'2" slightly muscular
Light brown hair, graying slightly.
+++++
He had been married for nearly a month, when David had his first disagreement with his new step-daughter. She had just started the new semester, her first year in college after a year off, and appeared to be having trouble focusing.
"I am worried about Sophie," his wife Tyra whispered to him one afternoon. "She does not seem to be taking his courses seroiusly."
David was trying to remember what he had said in response to her. Probably something inappropriate and flirty, but he remembered that after a few minutes of Tyra scolding him, he became serious and promised to talk to her.
That is when the trouble started. He had walked in to her room without knocking (first mistake), and then in a very clear manner attempted to explain why it was a good idea for her to study and continue with her study of piano.
This did not go over well. Sophie shook her pretty crimson curls as she spoke louder and louder. Something about how he would never understand, and how insensitive he was being. He had to fight a smile as she was yelling at him while he watched her pretty pale face become bunched up in a red fury.
It was probably his last line that got him in real trouble.
"And another thing, I don't think your mother would want you to be wearing..." he pointed to her blouse that dipped much too low, "That out in public!"
With a wordless scream, she slammed the door. He waited outside for a few minutes. "Sophie?" he asked.
