Finding an agent/publisher

I am sure this question has been asked plenty of times, but I was unable to find it anywhere.

I have been writing for a while, both as a freelancer and as a game developer. Since I am apparently somewhat decent at it, I was considering taking on something a little more complex, such as a short novel. The problem I am terrible at marketing, PR, networking, and all the hard parts of this job.

Are there things such as agents or producers for smut writers? Where might I look for one? Any advice is welcome. No wrong answers.

If you're also a game developer - you could use both sets of skills and make a visual novel or walking simulator type game? There are plenty of adult games on steam and a good writer would be refreshing given the poor quality that most of them have.

I already did and it is selling pretty well (Check The Queen of Phalli on Steam, forgive my shameless self promotion). Still, I have this --- let's not call it dream but fantasy --- of writing an actual book.

If you write queer characters, JMSBooks is a great indie publisher to work with. I've been publishing with them for a while as Davina Lee. You're not going to quit your day job, but it will expose your work to a wider audience. Great people to work with. Can't stress that enough.

I am sure there are websites where you can send links to agents. I had agents in my writing career. Some are lazy and do nothing. Others really hustle. Find the latter category. They are the ones who get you the meetings and the sales.

Have a look on Reddit. I'm surel there a groups of authors/developer with the topic agents, publisher
