The Peepers have come out to play. They have been happily chirping in their mud playhouses for the last couple of days. Hearing them, I felt as if a weight had been lifted.

Also, I went shoe shopping today and they were stocking the racks with swim suits. Seeing this, I had the odd reaction of smiling broadly as I ran my hands over the fabric.

Hope is revived!

Oh! I used to love those little sex maniacs. Sadly we don't have them round here.

In West Virginia?

Yes, the one and only.

Thought I recognized the motto. My daughter lives there. She was hip deep in snow a couple of weeks ago it seemed.

I bet she was. Winter didn't seem to arrive here until February. When it finally arrived it seemed to have saved up all it's tricks to use them in the one month.

A friend of mine and I went down to the pond behind her house to catch some tadpoles. We found the tiniest little buggers you can imagine. Brought the bucket into the basement and put them in an old aquarium. We thought we were soooo cool. Until the mosquitoes hatched. (Yes they were that small but in our defense we were really young!)

I bet it sounds amazing there at night!

They are singing their little hearts out here...one of my favorite sounds...I love the cicadas in summer and the crickets in the fall...here in Virginia.

That is hilarious.

It does sound amazing!

I love listening to all those things, too. This is why i don't think I'd make a very good city dweller.
(p.s. I saw 2 Robins today too :) )

That is hilarious.

Sure ya do! They didn't hatch in YOUR basement!

Robins been here for a few weeks...but I do have thousands of starlings roosting in the bamboo every night this week...

The snow hadn't melted completely away until the middle of this week. I guess that's why I'm only just now seeing Robins?

Your bamboo must be melodic.
