And I'm more than willing to carry Legolas or Aragorn's love child. Either one, I'm not picky. :D (the new dude, Eomer I think is his name, is nothing to sniff at either.)

I didn't think it was possible but I think this one was even better than the first and I'm so anxious to see the last one. Ugh I hate waiting!

The only complaint I have is that while they delved into new characters, which they needed to do, they didn't spend as much time on the ones from the first movie. I hated not seeing more of Arwen or Galadriel, and Frodo wasn't in it as much as I would have liked.

Still though it was fantastic.

Either way, I want Legolas, you can have Aragorn. :D

One thing I noticed about lord fo the rings movies..

Yeah I noticed that myself Phoenyx, lol.. but I ignored it. :D
You realize I drool everytime I look at your AV, don't ya?

Okay Mona... but when you get tired can I borrow him for just a few years? ;-)

Actually Eomer was the King's nephew.

As you can probably tell, I had a thing for the Elven capt. as well.
It's a shame he was killed. Would have liked to see him in the third movie. Anyway, there's always DVD.

I guess I could let you borrow him. After all, he is immortal. :D
The King's nephew was pretty hot too.

No, Eomer was the Horse Captain the trio ran along with his men.

The Elven Captain was (I believe) also in the first movie, who escorted the trio to see Galadriel. His name was Hadrel (again, I believe).

kitty, I'm afraid you won't see much of many of the characters you really liked in the first movie. In the way of epic stories, most characters play a certain role in things and move on. ONly main characters stick around through the whole thing.

I'm really stoked that my Mom and Dad loved both movies. They used to kind of sniff at my love of the books. Now they can see what I was picturing in my head as I read them and we have more common ground. :D

Heh true.

*sigh*

Sad that a movie that isn't sexual like that can make you have such pervie thoughts. lol

Nooooo please don't do that Phoenyx.

The AV just adds to your sexyness.. ;)

In the books, Legolas runs out of arrows.

Eomer is King Theoden's son, who Wormtongue kicks out.

I like Eomer's sister, Eowyn, who is played by Miranda Otto.

I plan on it, but I was advised to wait until I see the last part.

I might start the first two though and hold off on the third until it comes out. :)

 's JMJ, I wondered if this thread would bring you out. ;-)

I'd love to go see it again, I think you miss so much the first time around because your just amazed with the plot, the special effects and all.

I was hoping that the princess chick would have kicked some ass.

If they follow the book, she'll kick some serious ass in the third part.

Theoden's son dies, Eomer is his "sister-son" or nephew.

Hadriel is the captain of the Galadrim.

Thank you, I was being too lazy to get the book.

The drama coming in the third installment will be well worth the wait, assuming they stick largely to the book's story.

Just like Empire Strikes back, I believed from the the beginning the Two Towers will be the most loved by people.

 's back to you kitty. :) It's like you sounded the Uber-Geek Alert. I couldn't resist!

Actually, this movie was the only one I could remember that had me cheering out loud while it was playing.

I honestly can't say enough about what Peter Jackson has done thus far. I swear to God it's like he reached right into my head, pulled the images out, and put them on the screen. It's completely uncanny and it makes me feel like a child all over again. :)
