Merry Christmas everyone.

My two monsters have finally retreated outside with their scooters and left me a moment to grab a drink and check my mail. I've spent the last hour trying to connect the hand brakes on my son's new bike, where is a man when you need one?

I was almost in the same boat....The toy store only charged like 8 bucks to buy the bike put togethere so that what I decided.......We have the scooters around too.....I think everyone got them this year..........

If I had bought the bike, it would have been together, but hubby ordered and had it mailed here. He has already gotten an ear full over this stupid bike. The boy has been asking for one for months, so he could do "bmx tricks", now I feel like shit, because it looks good, just can't ride it.

My Yellowhaired monster (4y/o) is in love with her scooter, kid isn't afraid of anything, watching her ride up and down on the sidewalk, trying to show up the older kids.

I know what ya mean mine had to have the one with all the pegs and trick stuff but yet not one kid can do any of them..................

LMAO...same here, the one kid in the neighborhood who had one, let all the kids use it. The only results I've seen are a lot of scraped elbows and knees. But according to them, they are almost ready to go pro.

Yep right with ya....The big boys play with my son 11 and there 12 and 14........My daughter is 7 and not to be beaten by those boys...................

Most of the kids here are my son's age (12), so my daughter follows them around, drives the boy crazy

Oops...gotta run. I hear crying, knew somebody was going to splat.

Blaze,
you need some bike work? I thought you had the bike put together.

Broken Bike? in less than a day? Oh well. sure lots of experance at that. Kiss for the scrapped knee that usally comes with the borken bike. And one for Mom,too.

Matt, my dumbass husband decided to get the kid the bike and had it shipped here. It was MOSTLY put together, we got the tires, pedals, seat and handlebars on fine. But it is the handbrakes, that I can't figure out. Now I understand why men don't read the instructions.

Samuari: Bike not broke, just incompetent mother. Skinned knees around here today are from the skooters, but thanks for the kiss. I needed that more than the knee did.

LOL@reading directions.. I have had my fair share of directions today also.. you have to admire your hubby he did manage to drop the hard part into your lap, lol... kidding Hey put down that wrench!!!.. I was just kidding!!!

Matt, hubby thought it was funny too, until I went off on him. Right about now, he is wishing he had another two months over there instead of just one. That wasn't a wrench I picked up to throw at you..it was that F***ing
bike. lol.

Just fills the boards all over don't it.......Heheheh........

Blaze,
you are not a failure.. hell, I think I can speak from experience, those damn bikes are hard to put together and if it was your first time attempting put them together you did good get all of the other stuff on it. You did good.. Brakes are hard to do!!!!

Thanks, now I just have to convince the boy of that. Tell you one thing...I know what my staff is going to be doing tomorrow. lol.

LOL, now I would love to see that.. you might need to take pictures of that for the hubby.. See dear, this is the big problem you caused with that bike you bought and didn't pay to have it assembled.. BTW how many guys do you think it will take to get the brakes on his bike fixed?

God Damned right...

I left my parent's house afternoon. I love them, and my brothers and sisters, but its so nice to be here.... ALONE ... :)

Sometimes

It is in the many failed attempts that we show the depth of our love, because we just don't give up.

for anyone who cares

I FIXED THE BIKE! <<jumping up and down and wiggling ass>>

Out of the 8 guys who showed up for work today, not one of them could make any sense out of those instructions.
So, disappointed, I decided to take the bike back home, suck up to my son, and go get him another bike.

After I get home, I sit down to eat lunch with him and explain the situation. I have the bike sitting in the kitchen and I just keep looking at it, and getting madder and madder. I WILL NOT BE BEAT BY THIS BICYCLE! So, I start tinkering with it, and after 20 minutes, one pair of plyers and a 12y/o (who loves his mom again)helping, we are in business.

I DID IT! and my son made my day, "U the MOM, mom, see you don't need a man to do these things, your tough."
Christmas came again today.

oops...back to work.

Good for you ....Glad to hear it.....You got Super Mom for Christmas award.................I bet your son loves it..........
