Final Fantasy VII (OOC)

I'm thinking about starting a FFVII SRP with somewhat of a plotline similar to the main story. I would perfer if we could stick to the charecters of FFVII, and not draw in others, ie Tidus, yadda yadda. So when we get enough interest, I will start the IC. Just post here or pm which char you want to be, with some information.

Bio-Personality-wise Vincent is a calm, level headed man, who rarely speaks unless spoken to and even then is usually quite brusque and to the point. In flash-backs he was shown to be quite passionate under certain circumstances but was still relatively quiet and reserved. When first found by Cloud after sleeping for 30 years he was quite moody and uncooperative, and still heavily blamed himself for what he perceived as his 'sin', but over the course of the game, he does mellow out somewhat. This remains constant through Advent Children and for the majority of Dirge of Cerberus. When angered or consumed by Chaos, he is a lethal foe and quite willing to kill. However, after the defeat of Deepground, he is shown to have come to terms with his past and shows a brighter more positive disposition (reflected partially by his mantle no longer concealing his face). It should be noted that even though Vincent's gloominess remains with him until the end of Deepground, he does wear the pink ribbon seen in Advent Children along with all the other lead characters in remembrance of Aeris thus showing that he is still compassionate during this time.

BIO/PERSONALITY-Tifa Lockhart was born in Nibelheim and grew up next door to Cloud Strife. Though they knew each other since childhood, circumstances prevented them from getting close, and Cloud was left to admire Tifa from afar.

When Tifa was eight, her mother died, and soon after, believing that her mother's spirit may have passed through the mountains, she decided to follow the path leading up the nearby Mt. Nibel. Her three closest friends, who were afraid to follow her up the mountain, abandoned her one by one. Cloud, however, who had been following them unnoticed, continued on after Tifa. When Tifa missed her footing on a rope bridge leading into the mountain, he ran to save her but was too late, and both of them fell into the gorge below. Cloud survived the accident while suffering no more than scraped knees, but Tifa was in a coma for a week. Tifa's father held Cloud responsible for the incident, and his relationship with Tifa remained distant. Cloud blamed himself for the accident as well and felt that he had been unable to save Tifa because of his own weakness. His self-reproach led to anger toward himself, which then led to him into fights with others. Later, he would hear of Sephiroth, a legendary soldier admired by many young men, and he would conceive a plan to prove to himself and to everyone else that he was just as strong as the other children.

At the age of fourteen, Cloud asked Tifa to meet him one evening at the well in the center of town. Cloud then told her of his plans to leave for Midgar and join SOLDIER. It is later revealed that this decision was largely influenced by a desire not only to become strong enough to protect Tifa, but also to impress her as well. Tifa was both surprised and disappointed at Cloud's news; she asked him to promise that if he achieved his dream and that if she were ever in danger, he would come to her rescue.

Through events Cloud and Tifa were brought back together, but due to tragedies they were ripped apart again. After certain circumstance were presented and unfolded, Tifa ended up joining AVALANCHE, set on revenge.

Most of the time Tifa is known for being an happier character, although she has a sad story, but she is considered to be one of the strongest fighters of FFVII. She is mostly friendly and sweet, but is all business when it comes to defending herself and the ones she loves.

Bio/Personality- Sephiroth is a cold man, silent and calculating, he is quite sadistic at his core and has a multitude of other problems. If he gets in to the situation he will act rather childishly no matter what his is doing, but he is always excessively determined to complete his goals.

He was born to a scientist named hojo and a woman named lucrecia, but was injected with the cells of an alien called ‘Jehovah’, who was mistaken as one of an ancient race called the Cetra while he was still in the womb, causing him to become a hybrid far stronger than any mere human. When he was older, he was on a mission as a part of a special operations unit of shinra known as SOLDIER, he, another member of soldier and two MP’s were dispatched to a place called Nibelheim. There they were to investigate a malfunctioning reactor on its outskirts, it was during this mission that Sephiroth discovered his heritage.

In his reaction he was psychotic, burning the town to dust and killing his associates in order to return to his ‘mother’. Once he made it back to the reactor he ripped off Jehovah’s head off and took it with him as he left, only to be stabbed in the abdomen and thrown in to the lifestream by one of the MPs.

I'd be interested in hearing more about what you have in mind for story and so on, but I loved FFVII (Played through it so many times I can't count, lol), and while I didn't play Dirge of Cerberus, I am familiar with Advent Children and a lot of the FFVII lore.

If the role is open, and a welcome one, I'd jump at the chance to play Cloud. It's an easy choice, but he really is my favorite character, and he's both quite deep and really simple when you get down to it.

Please let me know if that's okay, and I"ll post a profile.

BIO/PERSONALITY-Garr, at first glance, seems dispassionate about everything. It's only when he sees firsthand the effects Shinra has on people's lives that he fights with everything he has.

Born to a wealthy family in Upper Midgar, Garr quickly decided that he felt more at home among the people of the slums. He found them to be more real than his own family, and joined Shinra as a Turk in order to protect them. He soon realized, however, that neither Shinra nor the Turks had any interest in protecting anyone except themselves. When he left, his partner was paired with someone else, a new recruit, who quickly proved to be just as skilled. He hasn't directly contacted them since, but has kept an eye on them.


how's that? also, I can't stress this enough.

while Hojo IS Sephiroth's father, and Lucrezia IS Seph's mother, they were both Gast's assistants at the time. GAST created Sephiroth, using Hojo and Lucrezia, and was trying to atone for that most of his life, up until being killed along with his wife, Aeris' mother. and Sephiroth was never injected with Jenovah's cells. Lucrezia was, and they transferred into him.
