I'll play, but I'm not sure exactly how to do the stats... if you could tell me, it would be much appreciated. I'll do what I can though:

Name: Ashwin the Wanderer
Race: Human
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Weapon: Double-bladed sword (Short Staff with sword blades on either end).
Appearance: Wears only animal furs and hides, with burnt-on tatooes covering his body. White/Blonde hair, green eyes. Tall and lithe.
Bio: Ashwin was born into a barbarian clan, but the clan shaman foretold that he would bring disaster to the clan if he stayed with them, so at the age of 15 he was stripped of his clan name and was cast into the wild. Tatooes were burnt onto his skin so that he would never forget his upbringing, and he was given the title of the Wanderer. Since then he has travelled far and wide and honed his skills as a warrior.

Is that ok?

Tempest Ballast

Race: Human
Age: 17
Sex: Male
Weapon: Twin Katana Blades
Appearance: Stands at six foot two, with a lithe and muscular body.Tawny-blond hair, long at the top but short at the back. He has green eyes and ruggedly handsome features. He usually dresses in dark black, and a large coat. His twin swords are strapped to his back.

Bio: Tempest was brought up with a tribe known as the Bakka. They believed that and worshipped nature and all it's creatures. When Tempest was twelve years old, their town was attacked by a group of slavers. They promised not to destroy the village if the peace-loving Bakka could find a champion that could defeat their champion.
Tempest was the only person who was willing to fight, but after a short battle with their champion Bailel, a dark and evil man, he was defeated. The slavers destroyed the village, took some people as slaves, and killed the rest. His parents were among those killed.
Although Tempest was taken as a slave, his master was a kind man. He taught Tempest the martial arts and the ways of war, but also how to read and write, play music on various instruments, and paint. He adopted Tempest as his own son, and on Tempest's seventeenth birthday he was told he could leave. He now wanders the world searching for Bailel

I will play Evil. Let's see, going with the whole FF thing, evil will have to be a powerful being who wants more power and to take over the world, obviously.
It's also got to be an intraquite plot, which I would love to devise. I'll start with something small, and work my way up.

How about John and Joach. Two brothers, one fixed in the arts of physical strength, the others in magic. They both work for the Graldian army, which has soldiers at this moment covering the Vorden countryside, in hopes to conquer it.
With most of the villages and cities hording peaceful people, they don't think much resistance will arise.

Tempest

They were fast, but I was faster. I quickly climbed up a tree. Soon, two of the soldiers in the front sprinted past me. "Where did he go?" one of them shouted, just before I fell right on top of him. "Oh shit" said the other scout, before I unsheathed my swords. The first soldier was unconscious, so I only had to deal with this one so long.
He lunged at me with a metallic truncheon. I sidestepped and cut open his stomach. Then I turned away, these things alwaways made me sick; for a swordsman, I was incredibly queasy. I decided to leave the other soldier unconscious. I didn't kill without need. Time to carry on my merry way.

Ashwin

OOC: Sounds good Poohlive. I dunno whether Rayv will have any objections to it, but I may as well just play along your idea anyhoo.

IC: Ashwin awoke to the sound of birds singing in the trees. He climbed out of his bedroll and stood up, naked, the black lines of his tattooes standing out on his bronze coloured skin. He stretched with a great yawn, before finally pulling on his animal furs. Still he looked half-naked, but he also proved a very frighening figure. He picked up his double-bladed sword and inspected the weapon. Finding it to be clean and sharp, he took a few practice swings, before strapping it to his back. He took in a deep breath of the sweet, refreshing morning air.
"It's a beautiful day. May as well start early." he said to himself, before packing up his gear. He then struck out in the direction of the road of which he was travelling along, the main road of the Vorden province, stretching from one side of the country to the other.

Unfortunetly Rayv, all final fantasies have nothing to do with one another, so ties to others are not allowed. (not my rule. Just a tradition set out by Squaresoft. If we are going to call it final fantasy, we should stick to the squaresoft tradition.

Name; Chi-Kai
Race; Human
Age; 20
Weapon of choice; Longbow

The back half of his brown spikey hair is pulled back into a ponytail, to prevent it from getting in his eyes. An archer by trade, he spends his time shopping wood for his mother. (he is not the main character, so someone must find him, and find a way for him to adventure, and then a reason to tag along. He can't seem skilled, nore be asked to come along by strangers. )

Also, everyone starts out at a low level. That means that humans are as of yet out of their league. Only low level monsters at first. In addition, low level monsters can easilly cause major damage, so rest and potions are allways needed in abundance by every adventurer. No mater how big or strong they look, or how vicious their weapons are. Low level means unskilled, and uncoordinated. So mistakes are high at first.

OOC:

If I remember Corectly Cryo Clouds Picture And Legon Were in the next game that Came out after his So As Long As I Dont Pplay the Same story I Can Still Be Tides to it :p

Um... no. you don't remember correctly. 8 was about an orginization called SeeD. There was absolutely nothing about Soldier or Cloud in it. Nore in 9, or 10.

Remember, I'm a big squaresoft fan, and a big final fantasy fan. I know what I'm talking about.

Tactics did have a character called Cloud, but it was a Secret character summoned from a different dimention through unknown technology through unknown means, and the character only bore bare resemblence to the original. But tactics is the exception because they had minor inconcequential, easilly missed bullshit that connected to everygame. Such as Matilla's cave, from 1. Materia from 7. Esper shards from 6. and more. These things however are merely useless artifacts and unreachable landmarks, so they don't count.

OOC:

I am Playin It right Now Cryo And I see A picture Of Cloud And They juxst Said He was Some Hero From A While Back

Ooc: I've only played 7 and 8, so I'm staying out of the argument. I do know there are certain themes and such that seemed familiar between the two. Have yet to see anything such as character connection though.
And I just love the plots, they must spend months... literally months just making up what kind of shit will happen before they even begin programming.

John grabbed another bottle of water and waved onward. The few troops that were left had already been sent out. This was so boring, just hearing silly nonsense reports and crap. These people were so mild, why would the Commander ever want to take over an entire country of pushovers?
"Captain," He turned his head to the side, taking a long drink.
"What is it?"
"News from a town near (I'll make up a town name if you don't want to supply your own DW). It seems as if a scouting party was almost killed. Only one survived."
His ears perked up. Was this finally a chance for action? He certainly hoped so.
"Well then, let's get going..."
"WAIT!"
John came out from under the awning, he had been looking at the beautiful horizon below for quite some time.
"How many scouts were killed?"
"Only three, the forth one is healing in a hospital at (said city)."
"Does he have any information on who did this to him? A farmer or maybe even the beginning of a resistance faction??"
The soldier shook his head, "From what little he has muttered in his sleep, it appears that it was only one person, acting alone."
John nodded, moving back to his chair.
"Send a hundred troops, and check out this city. I want it to be known that anyone who harbors a "resistance fighter" will be hung in the city court square. Also... put up posters for a huge reward for anyone who can help locate anyone resisting this take over."
Joach nearly dropped his jaw, "What? Why don't we just bomb the place. It ain't even that big of a city."
"Because... that wasn't the bosses orders."
"Come on, you're being too easy on them. At least let me go and oversee all this crap, make sure nothing else happens there."
He sighed, grabbing a tall glass of orange juice and sipping it slowly.
"All right, fine, but keep things quiet. The last thing we need is the Commander to find out that the people are revolting."
John leaned back in the chair, chuckling over his own joke. Joach shook his head, jumping into a road ranger (standard army vehicle) and heading towards the city. He was already over the radio, telling the soldiers of the recent change in plans.

Ashwin

Suddenly there was a rumbling noise behind Ashwin, and instinctively he rolled to the side of the road and pulled out his double-bladed sword. However, to his surprise, he saw that the noise was still a fair distance back, and he stood back up and stood in the middle of the road as the Ranger came steadily closer. Having never seen one in his life, he was confused, and he raised a hand.
"Stop." he said in a commanding voice, but the vehicle continued to drive towards him.
"I said, stop." Ashwin said as the machine came ever closer. A loud horn blasted, and the sound shocked Ashwin so much that he jumped out of the way of the Ranger just in time.
"Stupid farmer! Stay outta the way!" a voice yelled from inside as it thundered by Ashwin. The warrior stood up and dusted himself off before looking at the vehicle. He quickly memorised the symbol on the back before trudging in the same direction.

My Character

ooc:i dont really know Final Fantasy or about the stats and such so if u could help me out id be thankful.

ic:
Name:Kamatian
Race:HalfWhiteElf HalfHuman
Age:Unknown
Sex:Male
Height:5'10'
Weight:148 lbs
Weapon:Twin Longswords(Elven Metal)
HairColor:AmthystWhite
EyeColor:Bronze with flecks of Black

ooc:my character needs to be found to be put in the adventure IC:is a young halfelf but knows not what to do about fighting or the use of swords. the swords were his fathers so they were passed to him.

OOC: Well, me being a big Squaresoft and FF fan and all, I thought I would enter the debate. Cryo, you're correct about cCloud and that the only similar character ever released in another game from Square was Cloud from Tactics. Well, then again, there was Ergheiz, but that doesn't count since it was just a spin-off title without a real plot. The only reall similarities you can find between the Final Fantasies are to found in the game world. The way you battle, the battle system, the items and weapons you use, and of course, there are others like chocobos and mogs...

IC: God. I was lucky I wasn't killed. I was definitely outclassed. Or maybe I was getting better. That must be it. I put the victory down to my own combat skills. Anyhow, I'd need to get out of here. I knew some people in the next town who might put me up for a couple of nights...

Koa Melkia

I hope its not to late to join.

Name: Koa Melkia
Race: Human
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Weapon : Throwing Knives/Daggar

Brown hair and Deep brown eyes .He has a Scar running acrossed the left side of his face slightly below the eye.He carries throwing knives strabbed acrossed his chest arms and legs and a dagger in a sheath at his waiste and one in his boot.

Bio: Koa was born in a tribe of the name Kahcir. He led a perfectly normal child hood He was raised on normal values. Koa holds Loyalty above them all. Once his friend you will always be so. When he turned 10 his father tried teaching Koa how to wield a sword but on account of his small frame he wasn't strong enough to hold the heavy weapon for long. So his father taught him how to use a daggar with deadly skill and Throw a Knife with deadly accuracy. When Koa turned 15 his Father passed away and having no closeness with his mother he just left one day. With no money in his pocket he turned to thievery perfecting his gracefulness. For three years he has been wandering the roads practicing all his father taught him....

As Koa walked out of the woods. He saw three men. One was laying unconcious on the ground while the other layed dead. He quickly ducked out of site of the third as he looked around and started to walk away. As the third move into the brush Koa silently ran over to the two that layed still. " hmm soldiers looks like you won't be needing these. Sorry men I am just relieving you of your possesions". He made a wiry smile as he grabbed the healing potions out of the soldiers packs. I better get out of here before soldiers come looking for that scary guy he thought to himself as he thought those things he heard a small rustle behind him. He quickly reached for his Dagger and shouted " FRIEND OR FOE "As he turned around he Raised his dagger and set his left hand into his cloak and resting it on a Throwing knife....

Ashwin the Wanderer

As Ashwin continued on his way, he thought about his former life in his Tribe; his mother and father, and also his little brother. But then, with a shake of his head, he cleared the thoughts from his head. Now, he was the Wanderer, and his Tribe name was stripped from him in shame.
He was brought back to reality as there was a quick movement in the corner of his eyes. He turned and reached for his weapon, but before he could do any more an elven-looking man ran from the bushes and crashed into Ashwin. He was knocked back a step, whilst the other fell to the floor.
Ashwin looked down at the other man. He noticed the gleam of the twin swords the man had, and identified them immediately as very well crafted items. Whilst the half-elf was shorter than Ashwin, he was lithe also, and had the prominent ears of his elven kinfolk. With a grin, the Wanderer offered a hand to the fallen man, who accepted and stood before him.
"Tell me, what is your name, half-elf?" Ashwin asked, looking into the half-elf's bronze eyes.
The other stood stunned for a moment, before recovering. "K...Kamatian... "he mumbled.
"Well nice to meet you. What are you running fro..." Ashwin began, but stopped as the elf looked back, and then ran straight past Ashwin.
"Hey, wait up!" Yelled the human as he turned and took off after the half-elf.

Tempest

"Hey! Come back here you little thief!" I cried. It wasn't exactly true though. After all, I had dropped it, and in this world, it was finders, keepers, losers, weepers. "I'm not angry!" I shouted racing after the small man. He looked like he had Elven blood in him. "Stupid" I muttered to myself. Never should have dropped it.
I had been out scouting and had left my campsite for a shortwhile, when I realised I had left my hunting knife at the site. It was my father's and it meant a great deal to me, so I returned immediately to the campsite. When I arrived, however, I couldn't find it. I was distressed, until I realised I had to eat, and set out on a hunt. That was when I bumped into him.
The half-elf was examining the knife, and when I stumbled out of the brush, he was startled and bolted. "Wait up!" I shouted desperately, knowing I would never catch up with him.

Koa looked around and saw noone. "hmmm must have been my imagination" Koa slide his dagger back into his boot and started digging through the rest of the soldiers possesions. 'HEY COME BACK HERE ! YOU LITTLE THIEF" Shot through the woods. Koa jumped up and drew out his dagger but saw noone near him as he looked to his left he saw two men running after what looked like a small elf. "hmm this is interesting" Koa began running after the three men.

If it's not too late...

Name: Fusion LaCatt (Lah-Cot)
AGe: 18
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 170 lbs.
Gender: M
Appearance: Fusion is slender, his weight mostly muscle. His hair is long, hanging both freely and in braids, to mid-back, jet black. His eyes are brown and his face (currently) clean-shaven. He wears mostly black, with red amulet on a chain around his neck. The amulet is sealed, having never been opened. Fusion carries it because he was given it by a tribal elder before the destructon of his villiage by John and Joach's soldiers (although he is unaware who did this deed). THe elder had no time to explain the amulet's meaning, nor tell him how to open it. SHe only said its contents were of some irreplacable value, of great importance. He was trained to fight witha sword, but after escaping the village after the battle to save it was lost, he had little money remaining, and could only find a daggar. Fusion now has no-one left in the world but himself to care about and to look after. He's lonely and in great need of (a) companion(s).

"Tula..." John shook his head, what a wussy name for a town. They couldn't come up with something even a little more masculine. No, he supposed not, from the bunch of pussies he had seen so far, it was amazed they didn't call it Flower Town.
The soldiers had already begun filing in, taking over just about everything they saw. One could hardly turn around without bumping into one.
John parked the Road Ranger in front of the Mayor's office, jumping out of the car. He saw that the Mayor was already out, looking at them with a look of astonishment and fear.
"This is your house, I assume?" He pointed to it, wondering how many bedrooms it had exactly.
"Yes, now if you'll be so kind as to tell us what this is all..."
John grabbed him by the neck, hoisting him up.
"There is tale of some renegades in this little town of yours, possibly a rebellion. I'm just here to make sure none of that happens."
"Oh... c'mon now. We wouldn't-"
It was cut off, as John threw the man over his shoulder, and walked right into the house.
"Inform the town it is under martial law. Nothing happens without my say so, and I mean nothing. Also, there will be a city wide search for rebel fighters, anyone who is caught harboring them will be sentenced to death."
He bowed, making his way into the house. It was some nice decor in there, he had to admit.
Soon, the search of anyone suspicious enough to plan an attack on soliders was under way. In which, a lot of needless people were jailed.
(Just a note, John is the one who favors muscles over magic, don't be fooled, he does use magic. He just prefers his fists)

Ashwin the Wanderer

"Damn, this guy runs fast..." Ashwin thought to himself as he raced after Kamatian. However, being extremely fit and quick, the Wanderer soon found himself closing in on the boy. Suddenly, the half-elf gave a small cry and tripped, falling to the ground, rolling as he fell. Before he could recover, Ashwin leaped on top of him and pinned his hands to the ground.
"Kamatian, calm down! What are you running from?" the Wanderer asked in between gasps of air. Suddenly, another figure burst into the clearing, followed closely by yet another.
"What is going on here?" Ashwin asked, confused.

Tempest

A cry rang out. "What's going on here?" said a voice. The elf must be near, I thought, racing toward the source, and when stumbled into the clearing, that's exactly what I thought: What is going on here?

Fusion

I was moving quickly through the trees toward the open field. I'd heard something traveling by and wantedt o see what it was. Perhaps it would have something to do with what destroyed the village.
I reached the edge of the woods, but whatever it had been was gone.
Oh, well. Might not have been anything of interest.
I started through the tall grass, watching my feet until I reached the stone wall.
I climbed ontop of it and took a deep breath, looking out over the distant scene.
The hill dropped off in front of me, hiding whatever was between myself and the large town that lay a few miles further away, perhaps ten or fifteen miles. The buildings were located tightly next to one another, streets snaking between them. From where I stood, it was a peaceful scene, beautiful in fact, with the birds singing around me and the air fresh as it was up here.
I stood there, taking in the scene and wondering if, in all those houses, there might not be someone who may have info on what I wanted to know.
A head was a small path that led toward the city. i climbed down and hurried over to it, getting a little excited about going into such a large town. I'd never dreamed so many people could live so close together.
I started down the path, going possibly twenty yards before I heard the grass rustle to one side of it, then they hopped out and lined up on the path in front of me.
Shit, just what I needed. Scruffies...
