I think some of y'all might enjoy "Predestination", which came out in Australia last year and has just been released in the USA (UK next month, I think?)
Not strictly a transgender story, but very much about gender and identity, and Sarah Snooks in particularly gives an excellent performance. There's a good interview where she discusses her role, but it gives away some huge plot spoilers.
