This is a tough film to watch...as I am typing this, it still has not reached a conclusion...and I have never seen it before.

A new grandchild arrived last August, another one is due the 28th of this month, bringing to a total of 31, children and grandchildren.

I feel so fortunate that all are well and none have ever faced major medical situations...this film forces one to consider other circumstances.

But of course...there is more than that, the concepts of centralized medicine, especially research and development versus the open, competive private market of pharmacology.

This film, more than any involving a similar theme, exposes the naked underbelly of research medicine, FDA approval, corporate involvement and medical facilities that administer new drugs...

A lot to learn from this film, for me anyway, plus an extremely well written and acted one...Brendan Fraser, Harrison Ford and Keri Russell.

Merrry Christmas!
