I get a lot of romance scammers hitting me up via Words With Friends and sometimes here at Lit, but I got this message in my Lit Inbox recently:

"Hello sir. May i be introduced with you? I am a boy of 26 living in Bangladesh. I love my best friend's mother. may i discuss about her with you?"

What the hell kind of scam is this?

Who trolls me anymore? I'm barely here these days. This is random hook thrown in the water for some weird purpose. Scams fascinate me and I'm always curious about the people who try to mark me.

Words With Friends is the fucking worst. I actually changed my name on there to “<first name> No Chat w/ Strangers.”

he's either gonna hit you up for his 'very sick needs an operation somewhere far away' lady friend or... they think you'll get them off chatting with them about a mommy fetish

I am fascinated by these and other scams. The romance scammers are getting pretty good at it and the alarms go off when ask for money!
