FIGHT FOR FELIDAE
The Wardogs Come a Callin'
(Recruitment Thread)

A spin-off from Catgirl Confessionals, welcome to Felidae. A world completely populated by Feli anthromorphs. This world is ruled by the royal family of Felidae, the most noteable King Bazic and his loving wife, Queen Choi. As it had been, their second daughters birthday had come and passed, as pleaded by their daughter Viola, they allowed her and her sisters to travel space as a gift from the royal parents.

As such it has been almost five months to that day and still no word from the captain, guards or any of the girls on the ship. As worry sets in the King is dead set on retrieving his daughters if all the heavens have to be split asunder.

As a result of the missing royal daughters word has traveled the galaxy and landed on the neighboring planet of Inui. The king of Inui has found an apporitune time to strike the royals of Felidae while they worry for their children. Aside from this, the King has found an interesting alternative should their direct assult fail.

Find the whereabouts of the Feli princesses and capture them. Thusly, the Wardogs have been dispatched. A group of highly trained mercinaries who specialize in death and destruction. Their mission, find the princesses and return them to Inui alive... for now.

But don't think the people of Felidae are weak little kittens, they have their own plans in mind to finding and returning the princesses safetly. Having infultrated information from the Inui camp, they are hard pressed to send their Radical Squadron out into space to find and rescue the princesses long before the Wardogs get to them.

In the mean time a group of bounty hunters lead by the bouncy Jinx is working dilegently with the Royal Guards in the protection and preperation of Felidae's people. Its one thing to wage war on the Feli public but they threaten their very lives by trying to over throw their King and Queen. The hell with that....

And so our story begins... with a remotely peeved Jinx. "You can't just expect me to sit on my ass while you go hopping into space to save the princesses. My bounty hunters can handle things without me, I want to go with you. I want a piece of the Wardogs myself!" she demanded as she watched the elite Squandron commander, walked about his ship preparing it for launch.

It was as if she weren't there. "Damnit Obi aren't you listening. I got just as much stake in this as you. Just cause i don't serve the royal family like you doesn't mean I can't help. Come on take me with you!" she demanded stomping her feet in a tantrum. The gesture only served to move her body in ways that weren't qute becoming for a nitorious bounty hunter.

The best of her kind, what the royal guards missed in the streets she cleaned up. Bringing in all kinds of factions and riftraft of the streets. She worked so hard and so long that she had manged to get honorable mentions by the king himself. Even helped the princesses out of a few binds when they used to shop in the common towns.

But to stand idly by when word had traveled that the Wardogs were on their way across the galaxy to bring harm to the princesses... no she could not do such a thing. "Obi please, talk to me. I know you got a crew set up but you need the best. I'm good in tracking and you know it. I got all kinds of space patrols out there, I know one of my men has got information... come on?" she whined again.

They only knew each other for the simple fact that they often ran into each other when she was out doing her bounty hunting. It just so happened he was sent to do the same thing... and they often clashed on plenty of occassions. That didn't mean she hated him or liked him any less. He was a professional more than she could ever hope to be but hunting was her hobby. Flying was his... how could he hope to find anyone in space when he didn't have underground connections like her. She could get dirt on anyone anywhere in the galaxy... of course with the right price. Taking up the family business wasnt' such a bad idea afterall. "Well?"

Obi sighed deeply as he clasped the control collar around his neck. The simple silver band's weight was very familiar, and always served as good focus. It helped remind him of who and what he was. A pilot for the Royal Navy of Felidae. Turning back towards Jinx, Obi arched an eyebrow at the catgirl.

She wasn't wrong. She was talented, capable and intellegent which were all crucial factors in this mission. And while his own squadron was top of the line, they lacked something that Jinx possessed in abundence. Passion.

"I have my orders Jinx. I can not alter the mission specs simply because you want to join the team." He answered back as he moved to begin the initial check of his fighter before launch.

They were stationed on the Cait Sith, a powerful and venerated base ship, holding in orbit around Felidae. While the ship lacked the overwhelming firepower and near limitless fighter reserves of the Royal Flagship, the Bastet, the Cait Sith was still considered one of the finest ships in the Royal Navy. It was here that Obi was to assemble the Radical Squadron, and launch for his retrival mission of the Princesses.

Pausing for a moment, he considered this task in full. After all, he had to locate and retrieve a ship that had been lost for months with no communication, no distress transmission, and without even a known astrogation chart. It was like trying to find a needle in the galaxy. Obi was a superb pilot, one of the finest the Academy had every produced...but he wasn't a hunter.

Turning back to face Jinx, Obi took a breath and nodded his head once. He found it easier to speak with Jinx with his eyes closed or averted. The bounty hunter had a tendency to...distract him, despite his training.

"However...if you were able to provide your own ship then it would be within my power to bring you along. As...a consultant"

Military rules were full of such loopholes, and it seemed a shame to let them go to waste. Opening his eyes, he tossed her the slightest of smiles.

Jinx turned a devilish grin to Obi as he looped an opening for her. "Oh you are such a doll!" she squealed some of the workers on deck looked up noting the bounty hunter queen. They smirked at Obi not knowing the stiff had it in him, but then people tend to make the wrong assumptions sometimes.

In her excited glee she bounced up with a whoop clamping Obi in a quick bear hug before realizing she'd put him in an uncomfortable situation. Damn! Peeling him from her breasts and setting him up right she blushed. "Sorry, sorry! I know how much you hate it when I do that... especially on the job." she clapped her hands together in apology. "Forgive me."

And just like that she was serious standing before him. "Well if you don't mind dealing with the Sekhmet then I'll bring her out for a spin. I can even gather myself a nice little crew and be at your side as a consultant. I think I even got someone in mind now that you mention it." Standing tall she gave him a three finger salute then quickly broke out into a giggle, always serious but never serious enough that was Jinx.

"At any rate Obi, you really should take a break. Come with me to the Litter Box and lets unwind tonight. I got lots of friends there maybe you could help me pick out a suitable crew for this trip. Everyone there has some special talents and I'd feel better if you picked a crew you would want to back you up on this trip." Course she wouldn't let him know that she was taking plenty of amo and lots of extra artilary. The hell with that, if the Wardogs were going to start something she'd be ready.

Hmm? Maybe getting in touch with the Kitty Kat rest stop near quad sector nine might be in order. They wouldn't expect the royal navy to stop there for a rest so it would be better to get in contact with all her instellar friends and associates. This was going to be a long trip.... "Thanks Obi." she said. "I'm going to head back, come out. Meet me at the Litter Box, no questions. You need to unwind anyway, you take things way too seriously beside when's the next time you can have the best drink on this side of Felidae? We'll be in space for some time I'm sure."

Tails had spent most of the time Jinx had been gone working on repairs and preparing a a dinner for her. He was hoping she could sit in one place long enough to eat properly. He was worried about her, of course. She rarely called when she was out on patrol, and that made him worry more and more. She rarely ate regularly, or so one of her crew had told him, so he figured he'd make her something nice and filling. As he finished his preparations, he looked up at the clock, and sighed "She's late again. Can't she be on time for anything that doesn't involve nip?"

The neko coughed slightly as Jinx released him. His face flushed slightly before he brought his hand up to groom his hair and ears, hoping the gesture would disguise the brief expression that crossed his face. He was a soldier and as such, he needed to maintain strict discipline at all times. He coughed slightly and was thankful that his flightsuit was baggy.

She had a point. He had flight checks, mission parameters, and tatical information to pour over...but when was the next time he could have a good drink and some friendly company?

"Alright Jinx, you've convinced me." He agreed, offering her a smile, "I'll meet you down there once I've finished the armament checks on the Sabretooths "

He gave Jinx a proper salute, before turning to head back to his ship, giving the bounty hunter one last look over his shoulder as she turned to head back to her own transport. Yes, she did indeed look just as good from behind. He smiled again.

Excited and greatly hungry, Jinx finally made her way back home. The lights where half way dimmed but she knew Tails would be there probably slaving over repair work for the Sekhmet. Imagine her surprise when he was actually waiting for her to come home to eat.

Rolling her eyes she bypassed the food heading upstairs to take a sonic shower. She needed to get cleaned up. They were going to party good tonight, there was no telling when she'd be able to have fun again.

But as she thought about it maybe eating something that Tails had taken time to fix for her wouldn't hurt. She came back down before the shower looking over the food as she took a seat, and helped herself. "You out did yourself. It looks good... smells good too."

Tails was a little miffed when Jinx went upstairs. He fumed for a bit, cursing to himself, but then she came back downstairs. She looked much better, more relaxed, and he realized she must have decided she needed to get clean. He smiled at her compliment, then sat down with her. "I'm glad you like it. Now if only our sis was here to join in."

"No need to rush her, she'll be about when she's good and ready. Much like myself." Jinx chuckled eating her food fairly quick. She had some plans to go over tonight but first she wanted to spend some time just cutting loose and having a good time.

"Alright... food... check. Fun.. soon to be." Looking to Tails she jumped up with excited glee. "I'm hitting the Litter Box for some nipdip you up for it?" she asked already heading back up the steps to go find something more comfortable and a bit flashy to wear. She wanted to have as much fun as possible tonight. After which she'd be all business...

Tails raised an eyebrow, then sighed and nodded. At the very least, he could keep her out of trouble, he hoped. He went upstairs, quickly changed into a clean outfit, and then came back down. He waited by the door for her, leaning up against it. While he waited, he thought carefully. A lot had happened since the princesses went missing. Half the planet was in a lost and confused state. In such a condition, clubs like The Litterbox did a lot of business. He brushed some lint off his black pants, and then straightened his white shirt, and looked towards the stairs.

Ikimi's tail was completely frizzed out as her ears held against her hair, staring across the counter to the feli arguing with her. "100."

Krazer only gave her a glare, then turned away. "Are you hunters that hard up for money right now that you have to make such flimsy offers?"

Ikimi growled. "No... Its from wasting so much money on greedy merchants like you!" She sighed, her tail flicking about as she bit her lip. "120? I need these, come on!"

"200." He didn't even bother turning around.

"I can give you 150." She really hated haggling... Especially with Krazer. The guy was so sleazy, but had the best supply shop in the city. It was hard finding half the stuff she needed elsewhere... and most of that wasn't exactly allowed on the market.

"Tell you what. You can have it all... for 100." Krazer grinned at her, that same sickening grin he gave when he wanted something.

"100, huh?" Ikimi doubted this... "And... what's the catch?"

"Bend over and let me see that cute little tail. Make an old feli happy, won't you?" She could hear the growl in his voice, even see the fur standing up on his neck.

Ikimi hissed, tossing the bag onto the counter. "150 it is. Bye, pervert." She gathered up her items, stomping out of the store and back home. Using her foot, she started kicking at the door, her arms overflowing with the supplies. "Jinx! Tails! Aaagh... open the door before I fall over, would ya?!"

Jinx came back down by then hearing the door being slammed into. Peeking out she saw Ikimi and laughed letting the girl in as she had a lot of bags to carry. Helping her out a bit she put them on the table wondering what trinkets she'd gotten this time.

"I'm glad you're back though... I was just about to head to the Litter Box. Want to come with? I'm planning on meeting stiff tail Obi there and a few other royal guards of the navy. They need to unwind."

"Thanky- you." Ikimi grinned at Jinx, pawing around in one of the bags and taking out a tracker, as well as some dog whistles and attracters.

"See? Use these to distract 'em... if we find any... and one of us can scoot right in. Simple as nip!" She paused, glancing out from the kitchen. "We'll just make Tails be the distraction." She laughed, rooting around a bit more.

"OOoh, and speakin' of nip..." Her tongue jutted out from her lips as she dug down into the bottom of the bag, a gleeful mrew escaping her as she pulled out a rather large bag of the green stuff. "One thing ol' Krazer's good for..."

She tossed it onto the table, grinning at Jinx' suggestion. "Sure, I'll come! Obi could definitely use a good stiff drink or two." She paused, glancing to the bag. "Hmm. Maybe that should come along too..."

Tails shook his head, seeing the bags Ikimi had in her hands. He wondered why the girl shopped so much. "Are those supplies, or toys?" He stretched, then smiled. "Anyways, I'll meet you outside." With that, he headed out the door and towards the hovercar they used. Then he caught a mention of him being a distraction.

"Yes yes... lets go. We need to hurry it ought to be fun at the Litter Box tonight!" Jinx chimed putting all toys back in the bag. They could try some of this stuff out at the LB if they were lucky. "Hurry go get dressed or hell you look fine." She licked the back of her paw brushing it through Ikimi's hair to lay it just right. "There! Hurry... Mew!" There was never a way to get around Jinx's excitement as she bounced out heading for the garage. She jumped in the passenger seat waiting for Ikimi before they'd head out.

Tails shook his head as Jinx bounded past him and then jumped into the hovercar. He climbed into the driver's seat, fastening his restraint harness, and then waited for Ikimi. He didn't like the idea of being a distraction, though most of the femmes that virtually inhabited The Litterbox found him to be adorable, or something like that. He had to admit, the attention lavished on him when the girls weren't looking was quite refreshing. It almost made him feel more important than they treated him as being.

"Mrowrph." Ikimi's ears fell back as Jinkx decided to fix her hair for her, frowning. "Hey, I can do that myself, thank you." She stuck her tongue out, then headed upstairs. She could hear the other two heading to the car, so just straightened herself up a bit.
Running back to the garage, she gave a panicked mew, jumping into the backseat and giving a glare to Tails. "I was coming! You weren't gonna leave me behind, were ya?!"

A small hill of coins had formed around Obi as he continued his game of Red VS Blue with the other patrons of the Litterbox. As stuffy as he seemed at times, Obi was nevertheless an avid card player. Something about gambling had always appealed to Obi. No matter how good one was at the games, no matter how much skill, technique, or natural ability one had, it all came down to Lady Luck. Did the Great Mother smile on you today, or would you lose it all?

The Feli pilot checked the small collection of circular cards in his hand, his face remaining utterly stoic. Part of the skill in the game was not letting your emotions show in your ears or your tail. Subtle changes in your scent or the pattern of your breath could tell your opponents everything they needed to know to beat you. The game was like flying in that way as well. One needed total control.

As the turn came to him, Obi layed the round cards flat on the table. "Perfect set" He spoke flatly, with the tinest smug tone hidden in his voice. His winning hand completed the pattern, and turned the cards red, thus earning him the win.

His claws raked in the coins in the pot, adding them to his chip stack. He was lucky tonight, which worried him. Things almost always turned out bad when you started the night lucky.
