I was reading about the FDA hearings on the Female Vigara drug Addyi. With all of the controversy around consent today I was wondering if these questions were brought up during the hearings.
1) A woman is not interesting in sex, she takes the drug and is now interested in sex. Is a chemically induced consent true consent?
2) A husband pressures his wife to take Addyi so she reluctantly takes it. Is that consent?
3) A wife is not interested in sex but her husband grinds the pill up and puts it in her food and now she is interested in sex. Is that consent?
4) A man is talking with a woman at a bar and they are flirting with each other. He drops the Addyi in her drink and they later go back to his place and they have sex. Was this a chemically induced consent?
Just curious on what people's thoughts are on this new drug for the treatment of sexual dysfunction in premenopausal women.
