Female perspective needed: teen nonconsent

First, let me clarify what I'm talking about: I don't mean full-on rape, but a version of something that actually happens with some frequency when teens are in unsupervised groups; i.e., a girl gets involuntarily exposed.

What I want to explore is, what happens if her friends, male and female, don't stand up for her and quickly end the situation? What if a mob mentality takes over and our hapless heroine becomes the center of attention?

Since the story will be written essentially from the girl's point of view, I'm looking for someone who can check my portrayal and make sure that I don't botch it and turn her into something hideous and unrecognizable to those of the female persuasion.

Please note that this probably will not be publishable on Lit: I really think the story would be more realistic if the characters were 16 or 17, although I'm open to being convinced otherwise. It's been a long time since I really had a teen perspective, myself (and even then, I wasn't very good at it).

I think these forums are only for material that is destined for publishing on Lit.

And how much are you paying since it isn't for Lit?

Now, now. I'm just writing a story for fun, not asking anyone to work for free on something that I'm planning to sell.

A couple points:

First, I left open the possibility of writing it so that it would be acceptable to Lit. I was actually hoping that I'd get some input, either agreeing or disagreeing with me, about the age question, but so far people have been quiet.

Second, It isn't unheard of for an idea that gets discussed on Lit to wind up appearing elsewhere as a story, particularly when Lit's rules make trying to place it here problematic. I still think it's a good story idea and I was hoping that one of the ladies here would find it interesting enough to want to help me with a feminine perspective.

I apologize to anyone who feels that placing my request here runs counter to the purpose of this board. That wasn't my intent.

People aren't quiet about the age rule. This comes up on the forum about three times a week. No sex by or near anyone under 18--as made explicit in the text.

That's right, sr71plt, but the age rule wasn't the question. I'm not trying to find a way around Lit's policy, I just have a story idea that might or might not be suited to Lit depending on how it's written.

I think we'd better leave this here before it makes people too uncomfortable. I value my reputation on the board and certainly don't want to seem like I'm trolling, trying to circumvent policies or trying to cause trouble. I just couldn't think of a better place to find help with a naughty story than here on Lit.

My thanks to those who responded, and again, my apologies to anyone who felt that my posting was inappropriate.

My only point was that here, at Lit, we are volunteer editors. Doing the same thing away from here, we can charge if we choose to. So if a story isn't going to end up here, editing it doesn't fall under the volunteer program.

That's a valid point, MistressLynn, and I have to confess that I hadn't thought about it in exactly that way.

I can think of everything, but I don't like making people feel bad.

I'm unclear on one point though. Is the story too naughty for Literotica? In what way might it not be suitable? People have said that anything and everything is suitable for Literotica except for non-erotic stories, but they are promptly told to be shut up by those who have heard of the "non-erotic" category.

My question is, is the story perhaps not what you think the Literotica readers would like, or do you just not want the characters to be old enough?

what i don't get is why incest is allowed, if its for legal purposes
legally 16 yr olds can have sex
i dunno im not into young girls having sex but it just bugs me the hypocrisy

That's not entirely accurate. Incest between people under the age of consent is illegal - consensual sex between consenting adults, regardless of familial ties, is not necessarily illegal. In fact, there is no codified federal law - incest laws vary from state to state, even county to county.

And yes, legally 16 yr olds can have sex, but not everywhere in America (in fact I think Ohio lowered their age of consent to 14). That again is something that varies from state to state. Literotica is rising above that controversy and stating the generally accepted age of consent, which is 18.

The OP mentioned the ages as 16 or 17, not acceptable to post here.

Hi, 1st timer here; You wanted to know what happens if?..
for starters, self-defeating, self-injurious behavior; either using drugs, alcohol, food to self medicate to hide the pain and shame

I know the characters are underaged; my question was whether OP would have the same problem whether they were 18. Made it sound like the story was "too naughty for Literotica," as though the age problem wasn't the problem at all.

I gathered that the age problem would be the only one for Lit. There aren't too many other Lit. "problems."

sr71plt is right: I actually shouldn't have used "teen nonconsent" in the thread title, because even though both words are accurate - the characters will be teens and there is a certain nonconsensual element - that phrase makes it sound like I want to write something dark and disturbing. The story that I have in my head is really pretty mild compared to alot of the writing that can be found on Lit.

In any case, I'm going to go ahead and start writing in a day or so when I have alittle more time than I do right now. Perhaps I'll wind up deciding that the story can still feel just as true if the characters are over 18, in which case I'll submit it to Lit.

I hope the person who sent me a brief PM is willing to look over my figurative shoulder, because I'd still like a feminine perspective on my handling of the main female character.

Nobody's going to blink an eye at a little "Dark and disturbing". We're all perverts here; you're not going to shock anybody. I think the closest anyone ever got was in the "Is necrophilia allowed?" thread, in tree sex got involved, and then the tree died. The question got raised, "What if the tree wasn't eighteen before the hero tried to have sex with it? Of course by then it was established that having sex with the tree while dead was perfectly alright, only that it would have to be dead for a period not less than three years if it died with only fifteen rings.

... Please note that this probably will not be publishable on Lit: I really think the story would be more realistic if the characters were 16 or 17, ...
I wasn't going to get into this [again] but I will point out that what many authors on here do in practical terms is write the story as 16 and 17 would behave and then simply state that they are actually 18 and 19, making the story Lit-legal.

Oh my.

What's incest got to do with this?

incest is illegal in my country
sex with a 16 yr old with someone under the age of 18 is not

not to mention rape is illegal but that can also be written about

I'm willing to bet this Web site isn't registered in the country you're in. And that makes all of the difference in the world.
