This isn't about pubic hair but visible body hair that could be bared in public-mainly trends in women sporting pit and/or leg hair.

After the 60s/70s when many women such as the hippy & later feminist movements, eschewed any hair removal.

Probably after this visible body hair, other than possibly arms (though some removed this too) on women virtually disappeared from public view with hair shaved, plucked, waxed, etc.

In the last decade or so there has been a small movement of women trying to normalise female body hair, very much assisted by the advent of social media and rightly arguing that to remove or not their hair should be a personal choice, though there is no doubt still strong societal pressures for women to conform to be smooth & hairless.

Quite a few celebrities have in recent years been photographed with in particular pit hair which has helped to "normalise" it. For the first time in the last couple of years razor brands, notably Billie, are using women with actual stubble or hair to shave in their ads. In the old days we had ridiculous images of women shaving already hairless skin, which always seemed bizarre to me, but even the slightest stubble was taboo. Now they are saying remove hair when or where you want but go hairy too if that is your preference.

Instagram, You Tube, etc are awash with young women sporting hairy legs & pits, so to some degree making it more normal.

It was never going to be mainstream but certainly more women, especially younger ones, seem more comfortable with having body hair. The various lockdowns around the world, with salons closed & no socialising , probably encouraged more women to experiment with growing out the hair they had always removed?

As somebody who has always loved seeing a woman in her full natural state, I do wonder whether the hairy movement has peaked?

Though there are still plenty proudly flaunting their fur on the likes of Instagram, I get a feeling the number is slowly falling. A couple of women who spent some time doing media promoting female body hair started removing their pit & leg hair. Also quite a few others retained their pit hair but started shaving their legs again. Whether this is a real trend or just a few individuals changing their grooming habits it's hard to tell, but curious if anyone here has noticed any trends one way or another-if not themselves, maybe family, friends, neighbours, etc.

I'm sure if there were less negativity more women would choose to go natural but are afraid of being judged.

From what I've seen in nudist resorts, hair removal is common with both men and women, but certainly not universal. I'd say that maybe a third of the crowd keeps their pubic hair, usually well trimmed.

My wife will let her pits(fun to pet) and legs grow...but only once shorts/skirts season is over for that reason. Also if we're planning a visit to the swing club or other such extracurriculars with strangers she breaks out the razor.

Call me an old man of 83. I married at 20 and my shy bride never shaved or even trimmed. After 63 of marriage she has only shaved twice for two children. In recent years she has asked if I wanted to trim it for me because because of aging oral is now the only option. I hope more ladies take to this option because hairless robs them of what makes them originals instead of baldness the same as dozens of others. Speak up men as this is the only way to reverse this trend.

I have always liked natural women who did not shave but sad to say, most people don’t share my preferences.

I love seeing an all natural Lady. I usually allow my submissive (When I have one...) to shave her calves in summer however.
Sounds interesting! I love hairy legs on a woman but it can be sexy & sensual for a shave. Are her legs particularly hairy? Somehow the hairier the legs, the more exciting the shaving experience is (for me anyway). Enjoy the subsequent regrowth.

You, sir, have excellent taste

I've always thought it was beautiful and showed a high level of self-confidence in a woman when she has unshaved armpits and/or legs and isn't shy to show them in public. The obsession to be bald everywhere is an odd (to me at least) but extremely common one.

Agree with your thoughts. Here in England it's not often I see visible female body hair apart from occasional hairy arms (which I love!). However a few days ago I happened to be at Shrewsbury Station when there were 2 young women who were probably lovers and one had exposed ankles/lowest part of her shins which to my delight were quite furry with conspicuous mid-brown hair.

Five minutes later a group of 3 people, unconnected to the other two, got off a train and one young woman in her 20's with dyed bluish hair, also revealed the lowest part of her legs which again were pretty hairy with dark brown hair.

From what I've read it's women of this age group who are most likely to eschew the razor/wax strips.

Would loved to have seen these 2 young women in their full natural naked glory.

Remember more years ago than I care to remember such a sighting was less unexpected. Certainly good to see so many young women on Instagram proudly displaying their furry charms!

I am a woman and I stopped shaving this year, but not because it’s “trendy”. I did it because I don’t know, this seems to be the year I become more comfortable with myself, I’m queer, and it feels more in line with who I’ve always been inside, and I want the world to stop looking at me as someone I’m not and instead love me for who I am.

I haven’t got anyone who said anything yet besides my roommate who’s an old school jerk and said it was “offensive”. But as a woman you KNOW some people find it offensive. You just constantly make the choice whether to care or not. This world is “owned” by certain groups of people who dictate what is acceptable and what is not. Personally I am at my wits end with who/what “owns” it so I do not care anymore, and it’s usually guys who look down on such a thing as female body hair and feel they have the right to decide how everyone around them portrays themselves anyways and I don’t fuck guys so why should I let them feel like they have the rights to own me.

Also imagine being someone as mortally terrified of female body hair as most of society is. Imagine being that in denial about what we actually look like as human beings. I know and accept what we naturally look like, I happen to find myself pretty ace so it’s not really my cup of tea either way. But lol, if body hair is so bad to you that it’s going to make or break your opinion on someone you need to sit down and have your existential crisis that most people aren’t the brainless hairless zombies those who own the world want us all to be, including you

Your roommate is a jerk alright if they think body hair on a woman is offensive. That comment is offensive! More power to you!

You go, girl! I think a lot of guys expect the women around them to constantly perform sexual desirability. Like it’s our obligation to give them something to fantasize over! Sometimes I like looking sexy, but it’s not my duty to provide it as a public service.

Hence, the attitude some guys have about being able to dictate what body hair we show.

I stopped shaving for a while during the start of the pandemic, and frankly if I wasn’t worried about being the “weird hairy girl”, I’d probably stop shaving my armpits forever. I’d still do my legs though because even though it’s a pain in the ass, I like the silky feeling.

For those that like stories featuring hairy women my latest story has just been published here- Summer Camp gets Hairy. Hope you like it if this is your niche? Love to get feedback on what you liked best in it & anything you would have liked to have been done differently.

I am seeing more ladies at the gym with hairy armpits and when I have showered there a lot more pubic hair is left untouched. It is a good look on some people but I still prefer the smooth look and sex just feels better being waxed.

I like the fact you are seeing more women with pit/pubic hair. Obviously personal preference whether to remove or not, but a healthy sign that more women are now comfortable being natural. Any with leg hair too, though if light growth, not always obvious?

Are you in the US or elsewhere?

Maybe it's an age thing- I'm 63 but I find shaved (apart from legs ) women look unatural

I keep my legs and my armpits clean shaven, and will continue to do so. Hair poking through or matted down under sheer hosiery is not an attractive sight to me. Also, guys at the gym who have underarm hair poking out when their arms are down is also not an attractive sight. It's an immediate turn off. And I will be glad when this facial hair trend goes away. I've never met a guy who looked better with facial hair than without.

"Natural" does not always mean better. Body odor is natural, but left unchecked, it's certainly not better!

Guess we're polar opposites!

Fresh sweat can be very arousing- far better than any artificial scent, but would agree rank B.O is not good.

I may be in a minority but the thought of a woman with leg hair below hose is a real turn-on.

I'm not into guys but in general I think men are more masculine with a beard & can look distinguished. Certainly I won't be removing mine.
