Hardware Upgrades This Week
We will be upgrading some of the hardware that Literotica runs on this week.

The process will require us to replace a few of the older Lit servers with new ones. That means that there might be a few moments of bumpiness while we swap the machines.

Please let us know if you notice any problems that last more than a few minutes and thank you for your patience during the upgrades!

because I know how to get around my isp. They may see all I do but the servers don't. Proxyies, and anonymous hosts cannot reach the site and even googled "is it down" pages all agree. Down.

I Feel Cheated because this was supposed to be a quick hardware swap. And I know there is no such thing. However, he said 'moments'. Hours... 'nough said.

Also, exactly how cheated can you be when the site is, in fact, free?

All of the world is free to me. Its the setbacks that I take willingly that denote prices to those lesser than Me.

It wouldn't have been that big a deal if it wasn't my day off, between books, while looking for something to read. THE problem is: Posted yesterday, with a promise/statement of momentary interruptions. Forums up for all you PVP'ers! yay. Site is down. If it had been said that the site me be down all day, this post wouldn't be here. Didn't PM M cause (s)He was 'offline'.

Don't know what I really expect. These people can't even sort or tag stories so they are searchable.

What made me feel cheated was the fact that Manu said there MIGHT be MOMENTS of interruption. When he found there to be a hardware problem and couldn't get the site back up and running in moments there was no update. No Follow up. No, oops gotta update the firmware and re-install network software, then manually enter all network paths and assign proper etc...
