feeder (fetish)
A feeder is someone, usually (but not necessarily) male, in a relationship with a feedee. As the name suggests, the feeder provides the feedee with an abundant supply of food, either to encourage weight gain or simply for delight in the act of feeding.
Feeder/feedee relationships appear to be uncommon, although some certainly do exist. The image of the "feeder" appears to be a common fantasy in the fat admirer community. Many FAs fantasize about taking part in a feeding relationship, but few attempt to realize this fantasy.
Feeder relationships are sometimes regarded as pathological, and are frequently discouraged by the mainstream fat acceptance community as unhealthy and fetishistic. Many feeders, who do not have a feedee or believe that actual feeding is dangerous and unhealthy are referred to as non-practicing feeders; they satisfy themselves by looking at weight-gain photos or reading weight-gain fiction. Advocates of feeding maintain that feeding relationships, if consensual, are perfectly healthy for both parties. Opponents of feederism claim that the causes behind feederism relate to issues of control and dependency, and possibily degradation.
The growth of feederism paralleled the development of feeder pornography. At first, such pornography was limited to the letters sections of magazines such as BUF magazine, Dimensions magazine, and other fat admirer magazines. Then first pornography specifically devoted to the feederism fetish was the newsletter called "The Feedlot". Feeder porn was given new life when it was first celebrated with the now defunct site feeder.com. The torch was then taken up by the "Weight Room" section of Dimensions magazine, and the somewhat abandoned feeder.co.uk. The largest collection of feeder related stories exists at Dimension's "Weight Room" and the largest amount of feeder artwork and photo pornography can be found at Yahoo's groups.
"Feedee" women are in very short supply, but the amount of men willing to participate in this fetish is inexhaustable, as evidenced by the number of Yahoo! Groups dedicated to the topic. The whole phenomenon is largely underground, but will likely be exploited ad nauseum in the usual TV crime dramas with the release of the new Feederism movie "Feed" in 2006.
Curious why you view it that way, then, if the ones who actually participate do not (according to you)?LadyFunkenstein said:My opinion though, is that the feeder/feedee is in fact a D/s relationship, even though those who do it don't view it that way...
All a fetish is, is something that is necessary to achieve sexual gratification. Doesn't matter whether one is gay, bi or straight -- a fetish is a fetish.LadyFunkenstein said:The gay gainer relationships don't seem D/s to me, seems more like it belongs in the fetish category...
All I know is you don't see them hanging around in D/s type websites. As I said, alll I have is my opinion based on what I have seen on the internet; I don't know anything for sure nor have I spoken to anyone.odalisk said:Curious why you view it that way, then, if the ones who actually participate do not (according to you)?
Of course. You can say this statement about anything. It actually pointless to type this, as it goes without saying.I'm sure there's feeder/feedee relationships that exist as part of a D/s dynamic. And I'm equally sure that there are some which don't inlcude the D/s dynamic.
You misterpreted what I said. You would have to take a browse around to see what I mean - there is a difference between "a feedee" and a "gainer." The sexual orientation is in fact irrelevant in regards to the theory. With the women, the feedee, there seems to be a relinquishing of power. With the gainers, I don't see that, folks just seem to be into it, no power exchange. All a fetish is, is something that is necessary to achieve sexual gratification. Doesn't matter whether one is gay, bi or straight -- a fetish is a fetish.
Possibly the most stupid thing I've read today, which is surprising considering the other parts of your post, which vie admirably for the prize, and which I can't be bothered to rebut.LadyFunkenstein said:By the way, your defintion of a fetish is dead wrong. Otherwise, why isn't plain old, straight up vanilla missionary fucking considered a fetish?

A fucking toenail can be a fetish. As can an ant, or a purple elephant with pink spots.
So who says "plain old, straight up vanilla missionary fucking" can't be a fetish?

I have a need to be pounded by cock every now and again... but cock ain't a fetish.
Now you, I believe you feel that way about toenails, ants, elephants etc. And yes, those are fetishes.
odalisk said:To be considered an idiot by a moron is quite a compliment, thank you.
But I'll play along anyway.
Why can't a cock be objectified?
Fetish A sexual fixation on a concept, object, or body part. A person with a fetish feels a compulsive need to use the object in order to obtain sexual gratification, and cannot achieve pleasure without it. There is usually a psychological connection between the individual's fetish and important events in the past. Common fetishes - for feet, watching pornographic movies, for lacy underwear, certain smells etc.

Pathethic.
I won't.
There is a difference between a fetish and objectification. That's why they are two different words. that's why you are trying to pull a switch.
Figure that out, LT, and we won't need to speak again. (But of course, we won't. Your dishonesty bores me. And I think you are an idiot and unworthy.)
Now off you go.
