Hi,

This is my first posting; anywhere! I signed up for membership about a week ago.

I’ve been writing erotic stories for about five or six years now. But up to this point no one but myself has ever read them. My wife, for whatever reason, isn’t interested in them. It’s to the point of being a bummer writing a story I think (I hope) is good, only to file it on the hard drive. I have a few stories I’d like to post and would very much appreciate any feedback. I guess just wanted to introduce myself. Thanks...

Welcome to Lit!

You'll probably get better response posting your information to the authors' section of the BBS, this is the "how-to". However, you're welcome to share your knowledge with the unknowing here.

As far as writing and getting feedback, the best way I would think would be to post it where people can read and give you the feedback you want.

Go for it!

And there are a lot of very good articles in the story submission pages that you can read that will help you see for yourself if your story is ready for submission. I have learned a lot from those, and the boards, and think I'm a better writer now from all of it.

Also, you might find an editor from the editor forum and have him/her check it out first, if you have any dought. They are free and do it because they like to help and like to read good, well punctuated, smooth-flowing stories that have good content.

First of all, welcome to lit!

As a volunteer editor I can only add one thing to the post I have quoted...Spellcheck! We like to read stories, but probably the worst part of our jobs is correcting spelling errors. (sorry, just happens to be my pet peeve so I thought I would comment on it.)

I’m usually pretty anal about spelling and punctuation; hopefully anal enough. I already submitted a story without having it checked first. Still trying to feel my way around this sight.

I read part one of ‘Visiting Neighbor’. Going back now to see if Steph dumps the bum. Great story.
