I would like to introduce a new thread for discussion. I have no idea how to do this, so I hit the 'New Thread' button and started writing.

I have posted a few things on the site and have gotten some feedback from readers. Some of them are shocking! I mean just because I scribbled some degenerate smut, signed it, and posted it in a public place, does this give the reader cause to assume I am anything but a sweet, innocent little old lady?

Really! A perfect stranger wrote that he had a ------- inch ------- and that his -------s were -------- and -------. Hairy, too. He said he wanted to ------- my ---------. Well, was I ever offended! After all, I am a virgin. If you doubt that, see box to left.

Another reader sent me a .jpg of a part of his anatomy. It looked sort of like a penis, but smaller.

Any other scriveners out there have some interesting feedback?

I think it's only natural for readers to assume that people who post erotic stories will be more open to sexual overtures. After all, if we're comfortable enough with our sexuality to share our erotic fiction with the world, mightn't we also be open to some flirting, if you could call it that?

In general, female writers here can count on receiving suggestive feedback on a pretty regular basis unless there is something in their profile that discourages it.

I always take it as a compliment when a guy proposes that we share a night of nasty sex. I always respectfully reply in a lighthearted tone and tell them that I'm flattered, but married. That usually does the trick without slamming their egos.

Yes, I believe I've gotten this one as well! [LOL]

My usual complaint has to do with will you send me a picture of yourself for free and what is your ICQ or messenger ID. Someday I'll read thatstory you posted.

Subtlety does not reign here. But occasionally someone will bother to actually read a story.

Oh well.

fEEDBACK oops

Hey Uly and Wind,
Thanks for helping to get the ball rolling on this thread. I was only kidding, Wind. I know I left myself wide open for that stuff, and I think it's hilarious. I loved the guy who had ......... inches and ---------, hairy, -----------. Wow, what a turnon for a girl. He included a phone number and expected me to call him so he could --------- my -----------. LOL

I'd love to hear about some bizarre stuff you might have received as feedback.

Hi MathGirl! I gotta tell you, you did a great job with this thread, I'm a big fan of your posts. By the way, I have ......... inches and ---------, hairy, -----------. I'll give you a phone number and expect you to call me so I can --------- your -----------.

....

Okay, come on, I'm just kidding...it was a little funny, wasn't it? Sigh.

Wierdest feedback I got was after my story about a woman whose boyfriend gets her all hot and bothered in a bar, and then lets everybody there have their way with her. A lady emailed me and said how hot it was, and that it was like reading her memoirs, because her husband had done that sort of thing to her on several occaisons. That was slightly crazy, but, sadly, no propositions yet :(

I used to get all sorts of wild feedback. Then I changed my profile so that most of the descriptive fields and looking for fields were unanswered. I'm not up for grabs, so there's no reason. Additionally, I changed my profile and it cut out the vast majority of wild feedback. The occasional person who never reads the profile comes through, but they are fewer and fewer these days.

I stuck this in:

I am happily married and since I intend to stay that way I don't do pics, cybersex, phonesex, or any sorts of carryings-on that the StudMuffin would disapprove of in any sort of way. I think he's pretty special and I want to keep him. In case you're wondering, though, I look exactly like Dennis Rodman doesn't.

Of course, I'm not interested in wild feedback, though some might be.

:)

Yeah, it's handy being a man. You don't get pictures of male anatomy sent to you after writing an erotic story, along with graphic descriptions of how that anatomy would surely please me.

Although it is doubtful I would complain if some fantastic-looking goddess sent me images of various parts of her body... "Ooh, coolville! I just LOVED your story. Here's some pictures of my firm breasts and wet pussy..."

sigh.

I'm not picky. I'd just as well fuck a guy with a 9 inch dick, as I would one with a 10 inch one...

Killer - Good advice for discouraging perverted feedback, but how can I encourage it? I think it's hilarious. I wonder if that guy would have accepted a collect call. Like from fifty people claiming to be MathGirl? LOL

I got another one from a guy who wanted me to sit on his face and let my --------- dangle in his ------------. Huh! As if I would let my ---------s dangle in anyone's -----------.

I'm still so incredibly impressed with Rod Hardwick's ....... handle. I'm losing sleep due to jealousy, and I think I'll have to see my shrink about it.

My shrink is very good. He's shrunk my --------- so that it hardly dangles at all anymore.

OOPS

the cigarettes?

I hit the wrong thing and sent my post before it were finished.

I sent menthol, hope that's right.

The're in your hard drive not your floppy.

I can honestly say that since I started posting stories (which, granted, is only like 2 weeks ago) all the feedback I have recieved has been incredibly kind, well-worded, constructive and friendly. What an amzing confidence boost this whole experience has been!

I feel blessed and grateful to everyone who has taken their time to not just read my stuff but write me a note as well. I feel like I've really tapped into something abut myself that I can do well and that gives enjoyment to other people. Yep, that's me, spreading luuuuuuvvv and dirty words to the people; I'm kinda like a social worker, in a thong.

Although some men have been explicit about what in a particular story turned them on (especially the one where the chick takes her man up the bum for the first time, go figure) it has never been what I would consider overly pushy or obscene and unwarranted. As a happily married myself, this is just fine with me!

So, I've been lucky so far. Now bring on the crackpots!

F'back

Oh, yes, the vast majority of the comments I've received are polite and very complimentary.

I love the crackpots, though. I'd love to hear from other writers who have gotten some really ***unusual*** feedback.

The best I've gotten is still the one from the guy who wanted me to dangle my ---------- in his --------. Surely someone can top that one!

LOL

Yeah there've been a few strange feedbacks in there.

Most of it's been really positive, telling me how they like this or that.

I actually would like more feedback along the lines of:

Hey, great story but this line here "-----" has a grammar/spelling/tense/POV error.

Or:

I liked this "------" but thought you needed a little more work on this "-------"

Or:

I really like the theme of "------" and would like to see more stories on it. Perhaps you could mix it with my other favorite theme of "------".

If you catch my drift, I want stuff telling me what I can improve AS WELL as what they liked and want more of.
Anyway...

Most of my weird feedback has been about race and language. People who take offense at the slang I use. Assuming I am making my blacks too smart, too dumb, too ethnic, not ethnic enough, flawed for some cultural thing they don't like/have a clue about, or whatever...
Sometimes they assume a character is one race or class despite being another because of who that character associates with, dresses, or whatever...

-shrug- I just write them like I know them. Most people have enough multiracial experience to not be stuck in stereotypes or not be stuck in PC reclassifications. So most of my race and class oriented feedback is positive.
Haven't recieved anything about sex acts, but none of my published stories have any explicit sex in them. One story in my hopper is very explicit though. I plan to do a lot of rewriting of it before publishing because I'm worried it may show that it was actually the first story I wrot, finishing about half before turning out AI Girl. :D

It'll be interesting to see what happens once that story is out. I look forward to getting my first explicit feedback message. ;)

I've had at least one message from someone asking if they could write a story using my characters and setting. That's very flattering, and I plan to let them once I get the particular story to the point I want it at.

Feedback can always be unusual then again, some people neeeeeeever see the obvious either.

Details you would think would help, but if a picture says a thousand words, then to some a thousand wwords isn't enough.

Take a look at my avatar will ya. Now admnittedly I just changed it today.

But yesterday it was this (see inserted image, hope I did this right).

With that pic as an avatar you would think I couldn't possibly be mistaken as a girl. But nope, spent the better part of several posts interacting with someone and Wildsweetone, and I was not obviously a guy.
