Any stories about feedback you've gotten?

I received one a couple days ago about my incest story: "SOOOOO hot ... made me wish I was your daughter!!!!!"

Well, taking it in the spirit in which I assume it was intended, and assuming it was a female-type writing, this was someone I'd like to have exchanged a couple e-mails with (no schemes on hooking up or anything like that, but just for fun). Unfortunately, it was anonymous.

Seems that's the way it goes. Most of the ones that catch my interest in some way are anonymous.

Okay, so that's not really a story. More of a comment, really. But it moves me to ask what's going on with feedback with other writers.

maybe this is odd, or not, but I have a couple of stories for ya...
I have received a half dozen marriage proposals, and no, they werent anonymous, and I never accepted.
I have been offered stuff ranging from trips to Greece and Las Vegas to cash and underwear ( usually with the request to wear them and send them back).
I think I am a little freaked out and flattered that some of my readers trust me so much, but I never accept anything and I try to never lead anyone on.

I have one anonymous person who sends FB and it is always a poem about me; sometimes erotic, some I dont understand at all, but the attention is cool even if the person might have stalker tendencies <WEG>

hope you get a lot of response here, I would like to read other peoples stories too

Here's a very short story, about some feedback I received, which I found amusing...

I received this feedback a few days ago, with regard to my Halloween story, "Damn this is a good story... wanna meet up for some eroticly ghoulish fun in the bedroom?"

I just dismissed it at the time, although the first part made me feel great. I was chatting to my friend later that evening (the one I'd met up with three weeks previously, we went to the New Forest, had lunch, etc.) and I was telling him about some of the feedback I receive. He seemed overly-interested and asked if he could see some of it. So I copied and pasted some of it into the IM window. He then said "glad to see you got mine *wink*" Yep, that one was from him, which made me feel slightly better about it.

I wouldn't lose too much sleep over this. If it's from Anonymous, it was probably from some guy just jerking you around and trying to make you eat your liver.

I think it's pretty well established that women get more interesting feedback than men do. They also get more feedback in general.

I've had a ton of feedback about Well, Goddamn, most of which is anonymous. It mostly seems to be from men (being that it's a LW story, that's understandable) and almost without fail, they love it.

Best feedback I recieved about it, however was this one:

Well, that's just the thing. As a reader, I don't assume the writer likes to do the stuff described in the story, or that he/she would even want to do it in real life. But I don't think I'm typical in that regard.

Well, no, I don't take it that seriously or assume it's real. The one I quoted just happened to hit me the right way. Gave me a mental image of a sweet young thing "enjoying" the story. I don't need any more than that.

This particular piece a two-part story, and most of the feedback has been from people who read part one and wanted to give me advice and/or suggestions for part two.

I think it's pretty well established that women get more interesting feedback than men do. They also get more feedback in general.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm more likely to read a story if it was written by a woman. I've never gone so far as to send marriage proposals, etc., though.

Well, I'm fairly new at this genre of writing. I have 3 stories and two poems posted. I have had NO feedback on the poetry - wonder if that is significant.

But I've had some wonderful responses about the stories! The story of the lustful neighbors encouraged one gentleman to wish 'he lived next door to me'. The story about a man who goes to a college reunion is getting more reply faster than the other two did. I get 'I've always wanted to go back to a reunion and hook up with someone' or 'gee I bet you're a great teacher in real life'. Neither of those things happened by the way!

But my story about the sex performance theater garnered the top feedback reply.

Well, I'm fairly new at this genre of writing. I have 3 stories and two poems posted. I have had NO feedback on the poetry - wonder if that is significant.

Strange, I've had a handful of feedbacks on every one of my not very many poems. Most just said that they liked them, others helped me out with grammar and writing tips for the future. One man and one woman have both sent me mini-poems as comments. I think that's sweet.

So far no hate mail, marriage proposals or people wanting to fuck me. (at least not letting me know. )

I only have one story up so far and most of the feedback has been positive. I got a couple from annonymous who said they liked the story but then goes off on the worst consequences of unsafe sex. They seemed to forget it is fiction and are angry with the character. I find it quite amusing and wonder if it is tongue in cheek or serious.
