Does nine lit pages count as a novella? Someone seems to think so!

Here is the link: Scott the Keeper

I just want to offer it up for your enjoyment. Most of my work is fantasy, this is somewhat more down to Earth. I am wondering if my hints about the alternate reading of the protagonist are understandable to you highly versed and literate authors. I definitely drew upon my own life and experiences at summer camp writing this and I hope it has the depth to make the characters seem less than cardboard stand-ins for porn stars. Thoughts? I just want to put it out there that after 735 days with no submissions, I am back!:D

I'm afraid I didn't get beyond the first two pages. It seemed an odd mixture, the first page with its literary references and then the second a typical male fantasy of a suddenly sex-crazed blonde teenager desperately wanting to give a guy a bj. I didn't see how an assistant groundsman could afford to buy the camp and I was not interested in the infighting in the church organisation. Maybe things would have got clearer if I had continued but there was nothing to make me want to read on. Sorry.

Thanks for your honest feedback! I am really taking a closer look at my pacing and reading others to get a sense for how to best approach writing. I thought it had merits but now I sense the shortcomings.
