feedback on alternate venues?

I uploaded my story onto a fiction section in a new site called sexherald.com but it got torn to shreds by the other readers. Does anybody know about the site? Why did my piece get flamed?

Who knows? What did you post? Maybe it just wasn't a good story and they're very outspoken, or maybe it was good and they're just jerks.

I post at one other site. It's a BDSM site and I usually get pretty good feedback, although, being BDSM, they like their stuff a lot more extreme than what I usually like to write.

I know this: from looking at sexherald's site it looks like it's very well-designed and that they have pretensions (at least) of quality. Can't know anything about their reaction to your piece without knowing what you posted and what they said.
