Feedback, but why?

This week I've had at least ten feedback messages about a very short piece I wrote months ago.

http://www.literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=95390

I don't think I'd had more than a half dozen comments on it before then.

Why would that suddenly happen, and why did they pick that piece? Because of the subject, I'd think it would have very limited appeal.

Because they saw your butt on your AV, MG.

Dear Jenny,
That bottom has been around for quite a while. That doesn't account for the sudden explosion of feedbacks.

The only explanation, of course, has to do with a warping of the space-time continuum, resulting in the some time dilation, delaying your receipt of the feedback.

(Glad to be of assistance.)

Hate these double posts.

Spacial distortion. See???

The reason is that Literotica's archives are rotating. It'll take me a minute to explain.

When you click open any archive category on the list from Author Index on down to Poetry, you are no longer taken to the very first page on the list. Every 24 hours that page changes to the next in line. So if you go to the Story Index Page and click open the "First Time" category, you'll find about three stories by mathgirl (Little Red Car, Losing It Ch. 01, and Losing It Ch. 02) on the very first page you see.

Tomorrow it will be the following page.

This gives everyone in the archives equal opportunity to be on the first page opened in any given category.

After that, they like what they see, read more of your stuff, and boom boom boom, feedback.

Well, I'll be sheep dipped. What'll they think of next? RF

And the Muffin, once again, comes through with the answer... :)

Dear Muffie,
Unlike most things around here, that makes perfect sense. Thank you.

Wow, another problem avoided by the Muffin, now, KillerMuffin, I only warn you against Killer Tomatoes, as well as "Night of the Living Bread." A real parody.... beware!!

With sarcasm and love for all who want it,

And speaking of sour-chasms, that's one, well, unique looking AV, Medi-man. Congratulations on making 100.

And here I was thinking that that was done randomly.

You shattered my world.

I thought that that was random too...shows how much notice I take of things. Another reason could also be if you post a new story and people like it, they may read your other stories as well...er....couldn't it? Well, that's happened with me a little, i just posted a new story and the views of my other stories has gone up a fair bit.

I didn't do nuthing not at all, guys. It's all entirely and completely Laurel's fault and I fully intend to shuck the blame for the wonderous debacle like a worm-ridden husk, throw it in Laurel's direction, and then go pop some popcorn.

I've been here for over a year, and that was the first time I had heard of it. These yanks are full of surprises, aren't they?

"Everytime I think I've observed every little detail of their behaviour... they surprise me yet again."

Can anyone guess what character from what book said that?
Hint: It is, for once, NOT from Harry Potter.
