I am working on a short story for a Fiction Writing class I am taking at college. I am a little nervouse about my writing ability, and would greatly appreaciate it if someone would be willing to read the story I have started and give me some honest feedback. It doesn't matter weather you are an author or editor yourself.
I don't seem to be able to capture the same closeness between the reader and the charactor that I can with 1st person as with 3rd person in the story. It seems that I have created a distance between the two.
It could be that I am too critical of my own work, and it is fine. if not perhaps someone would be willing to make a sugestion or two.
I have to pass out copies to my class next week for a critique and I want to have it as smooth as possible. If you woul like to help please PM me with your e-mail and I will send you a copy (about 5 pages typed).
