I expect this may just be the way things go, but has anyone else experienced this?
I go to the Lit chatrooms pretty often. There are some days when I pop into a room and almost instantly get one or two private messages from "women" who want to chat. Sometimes I'll be in two or three rooms and have multiple "ladies" messaging me from multiple rooms. It's actually more than I can handle.
On the other hand, 90+% of the time, I get zero attention regardless of the fact that I behave exactly the same way. A friendly hello to the room, sometimes a polite public introduction about who I am and what I am seeking.
I guess the "feast" days keep me coming back in spite of the many "famine" days. Anyone else experience this?
And yes, I know chatrooms are 99% men, a third of whom are posing as females.
Oh, and BTW, I've occasionally participated in "public" chats that became cyber roleplay. (I prefer private play.) But on more than one occasion I've gotten rude private messages from guys putting me down for it. I don't engage trolls, but let me offer a hearty "FUCK YOU" to the silent, creepy lurkers who shit on the guys who just want to have a little fun.
