I'd recommend using a silicone based lube, such as Eros or John Frieda's Frizz-Ease Hair Serum (same stuff, on the cheap!). It's very very soothing, and good for anal because it's pretty long lasting. I'm very sensitive to different types of lubes too, and that works for me. Another mild and gentle lube is Slippery Stuff Waterbased in the red bottle. I love it!

I remember reading in Jack Morin's Anal Pleasure & Health that some people experience a burning sensation afterwards due to an increase in blood circulation. On the other hand it could be good old fashioned irritation from being too rough with sensitive tissue. I can't seem to find the passage right now. But, if I remember correctly, the recommendation was to be a little more gentle, use a bit more lube, and see a doctor if the burning lasts for more than a few hours.
