tina -back in the day...
cat power
sade
bonnie rait, dont make fun!
screamin jay hawkins!
otis redding
tom waits
that's enough for now i think.

I like Mary's particular brand of sangin.' But that's just me, I guess.

As I don't listen to a whole lot of rock, at least not that I know the names of the singers, I can't really help ya.

Nora Jones is dope on a rope, Poe, Beth Orton, Meshell N'dege'ocello and Heather Nova do their thang too.

mary has her moments
her voice is really unique and powerful.
real love, reminisce(SP), etc..

Word to Shirley Manson.

I can't stand Alanis Morisette at all. But I dig on that chick from Mazzy Star.

Harriet Wheeler of the Sundays
Aimee Mann
The lead singer from Tool
Morrisey
Early REM
*And Joey Ramone!!!

We just got a 400 CD holder and a kick ass tuner..

We have every Genre of music.. everyone from Abba to ZZ top..

I don't think I could pick any favorites. There isn't any kind of music out there that I don't enjoy.

Gerald Levert...his dad too (O'Jays!!)

The woman who sang with the Staple Singers (I don't know her name).

'that chick from Mazzy Star' is way up there
Melissa
Patsy Cline
Michael Stipe when he was still full of angst
Rollins
Louis Armstrong especially when he's singing 'What a Wonderful World'

That's the extent of the thinking I'm doing tonight... I'm sure there are more.

Frank Sinatra.
Sarah Vaughan.
Elvis.
Billie Holiday.
Ray Charles.
Aretha Franklin.
Robert Plant.
Al Green.
Anita Baker.

Lots of others too, but it's late and I ain' t thinking straight. My absolute favorite would probably be Otis Redding.

Bill Withers
Big word to Otis, my man. So much feeling.
Erma Franklin
Ann Peebles
The man, Marvin Gaye.

The first 3 are in order:

Roy Orbison - what a voice he had..
Meatloaf - is there a more powerful singer?
Elvis - needs no comments

Bonnie Tyler - maybe because she sang Jim Steinman songs lol
Bocelli- power and perfection
Skeeter Davis - anyone else remember her?
Bee Gees - Best live show I have seen
Tina Turner- another powerhouse...and thighs to kill for! Yet again, a wonderful live performance
Righteous Brothers - such a mix, such a range
Moody Blues - "Go Now" holds special memories for me

I could go on and on lol...but thought 10 was enough

Mariah Carey before she got annoying, circa 1990.
Carole King
Teena Marie
OK I know I'll catch heat for this one...AJ McLean
